Magna Foris started back in 2013 while two friends, Ashley Mather & Ben Moore, were hiking along the Cornish Coastal path. We came up with the idea so we could document our micro-adventures and share photography with our family & friends. After the hike we got thinking about possible brand names; Magna Foris was actually the first and only idea we came up with, which roughly translates to ‘The Gre

at Outdoors’ in Latin. Once we had agreed on the name, which wasn’t hard, the first logo was created and sent to the printers for our first batch of stickers. It was around the same time the first brand ambassador, Samuel Golley, came on board. From there we posted our micro-adventures around Cornwall on Facebook & Instagram, redesigned the logo a few times and continuously talked about getting branded products made up. The latest Mountain logo was created on the side of a hill, hand drawn by Co-Founder Ashley Mather while filming the sunset for a Time Lapse project. Once this had been made into a digital copy a few t-shirt mock ups were created and a favourite was picked. A few weeks were spent collecting quotes from various printers and finally, in February 2016, 2 years after Magna Foris had started, our first t-shirts were being printed. These were then released in March 2016. From then on we wanted to improve from the first product and add to our collection. The next designs were for basic hem tag beanies and enamel mugs. The beanies launched in October 2016 after being tested thoroughly around the UK on a 2250 mile road trip to Wales, Lake District & Scotland. This brings us to the now. One day we’d like to open a physical shop, stocked with our products and other UK adventure, lifestyle and camping brands. But for now you can find us online. Magna Foris strives for adventure and we want to inspire you to get out there and adventure too.

I’m constantly yearning to find the time to get it back up and running and I never find the right time. So now is the right time! We are going to attempt to post more regularly, shoot more photos, create more videos and push ourselves creatively.
