Originally from Birmingham, Bodyline Wetsuits founder Paul Chambers grew up in the late 1970s surfing the cold waters off North Wales and the North East. Paul’s love of the sport and quest for (warmer) waves took him all over Europe. Loading up the camper van with boards, he’d hit the road at every given opportunity. Over the years, the beautiful Cornish coastline became his second home and relocating to Cornwall became an obvious choice, not just for the waves, but for a better quality of life. Paul began working alongside Karma Surfboards’ shaper Dave Farrow in the early 80s, developing his skills in custom wetsuits manufacturing and plying his trade at a time when fluro wetsuits were all the rage. The 1980’s were an exciting time for the surf industry as money started to be injected into the sport and surfing equipment really started to evolve. By the end of the decade Paul had established himself within the British surf community. Today, 30 years may have passed Bodyline Wetsuits still maintains the same values and reputation. A true family run business, our experienced team also includes original machinists from Gul Watersports who were at the forefront of watersports technical development and original wetsuit manufacturing facility was based in Cornwall until the late 1990s. WETSUIT REPAIRS BY POST

Bodyline Wetsuits offers a bespoke wetsuit repair and alteration service, this is available by post or by popping into our workshop.

Sending your wetsuit for repair by post could not be easier. In fact, the majority of our repairs are by post, as our customers are based all over the UK (and the Channel Islands!).

We always recommend contacting us before sending your wetsuit for repair, so that we can provide an accurate cost and turnaround time. However if you think it is a straightforward and simple repair and you want to send us your wetsuit, all we ask is that you include our wetsuit repair form.

Our typical turnaround time is 1-2 weeks. If you need your wetsuit urgently (perhaps for an upcoming race or a surf trip) we always recommend contacting us before sending it. We will always do our best to meet your deadline.

We always recommend using a tracked/insured service, such as Royal Mail, when posting your wetsuit to us for repair.

As soon as your wetsuit arrives, we will confirm:

- That it has arrived OK
- The required repairs for your wetsuit
- The total wetsuit repair and postage cost
- The turnaround time
- Our bank details for payment (sadly we no longer take payment over the phone).

Once payment for the wetsuit repair has been made, we will confirm that we have received your payment, and then get your wetsuit repaired and back to you as quickly as possible.

All repairs are sent back using a Royal Mail tracked service, and Royal Mail will notify you by email prior to delivery.

If you’ve ever emailed, called or popped into the workshop, Gary would have looked after you and your repair.

Gary has been involved in all aspects of the business since 2013 and has helped reinforce Bodyline’s position as Europe’s leading wetsuit repair centre.

Beth - The Neoprene Queen

With over 25 years' experience in the wetsuit industry, Beth has literally repaired more wetsuits than you've had hot dinners!
