🏖️ A day in the life 🏝️
How does an average day on our courses look?!
- Starting off, we have a slow intro, overlooking Towan beach, chatting about the days plans, answering any questions and plenty of time for coffee ☕️
- Next up, we head to the beach! Here we warm up, learn lifeguard techniques, rescue and first aid, finishing off with some fun board practice, either tandem surfs or races! 🏄♂️
- After plenty of time to chill over a lunch break, we head to the classroom to go through all things theory.
This includes learning about beach environment and risk assessment to more in depth first aid! This is broken into a healthy mix of practical, discussions and various activities (so not just death from PowerPoint like most courses) 🌊
- One morning we spend some time in the swimming pool, where we do our timed swims and other skills.
This is something that we’re here to encourage people through as we know it can feel quite daunting.. but good news, even if you miss the swim time you have plenty of time to improve after the course where you still get your qualification! 🎉🎉🎉
