Weekend Matches

Saturday the men’s team had a great victory over Perranporth at home in the Tribute Cup and for the first time in 6 years had the pleasure of winning the trophy. Credit to all 20 players that gave up their day to represent the club. There were some excellent performances and a lot of fine golf played by both sides, but we ultimately won the match 6 - 4. The return fixture will be in September and I look forward to taking the team over there to try and defeat them on their patch.

On Sunday a few of us went to St Mellion to support our ladies in their Gammon match, ironically also against Perranporth too. Unfortunately the ladies had a tough day against some very strong players. They did the club and themselves proud though, going down 5-2, with the match being far closer than the score reflects. Well done ladies and you will be back without doubt.

All in all, the club can be very proud of both teams.

Yesterday was a busy day on the course.

A tickle with the verticut units on the greens followed by a reverse direction cut.

Aeration on the greens with an 8mm pencil tine

Terrarake across the fairways to remove dead organic matter and to stand up the leaf followed by a cut.

Great effort from the lads 👌

Update.

Saturday 6th June 2026

TODAY'S WESTON CUP HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE WEATHER.

The Golf Course remains open but those wishing to play should proceed with caution due to the high winds Buggies can be used. Preferred lies in play on the 8th Hole only (refer to local rules) Please repair pitch marks and rake bunkers.

Balcony Update!

We’re delighted to share some very exciting news! 🎉

The scaffolding was removed on Friday, just in time for the weekend and marking a major milestone in the Club’s refurbishment project, with only a few finishing touches remaining.

The new balcony is already open and being enjoyed by members and visitors alike, offering spectacular, uninterrupted views across our golf course.

This fantastic new addition to the clubhouse provides the perfect space to relax and take in our beautiful surroundings.

We’re almost there — the transformation is nearly complete, and the final reveal is just around the corner!
