Today was quite possibly my last game of the 2025/26 season.

Been a thoroughly enjoyable one which started way back in July! I've also met a lot of good people along the way and would like to thank EVERYONE who has given me so much of their time to contribute to the page. Every share, like and comment. THANK YOU!!

Still two games of the Ardal South East to go (Brecon v Chepstow and Cwmbrรขn's play off) but already looking forward to next season!!

Enjoy the summer!! ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ

WEEKEND ROUND-UP

Only two games this afternoon but there was no shortage of goals.

Chepstow Town Football Club AFC came from behind to end Croesy Ceiliogafc 12 match unbeaten run.

The visitors got off to the perfect start when Thomas Meechan netted after just 3 minutes. The lead was short lived when Mason Keepin-Davies levelled on 10 minutes which is how it stayed at the interval.

The second half saw further goals for the Jockeys from Iestyn Davies on 74 minutes before Alfie Owen netted in his debut on 80 minutes to seal the points.

Chepstow have enjoyed a strong finish to the season and victory in their final game away to Brecon next Saturday will see them finish 7th. Croesyceiliog conclude the season with a 6th place finish.

In this afternoons other fixture, Abertillery Bluebirds FC secured an impressive 3-1 victory away to Brecon Corries AFC to end a difficult season on a high note.

Joel Evans netted his 13th league goal inside 2 minutes to give Corries the lead before Alfie Shaw scored his first goal for the Bluebirds on the stroke of half-time.

Alex Line netted his first league goal of the season to put the Bluebirds ahead on 68 minutes before Ryan Meredith sealed the points on 84 minutes with his 12th of the season.

Brecon Corries finish their season at home to Chepstow Town. The Bluebirds finish bottom and will be hopeful of making a swift return next season.

WEEKEND PREVIEW

Just two games tomorrow in the Ardal South East as the season draws towards conclusion.

Chepstow Town Football Club AFC welcome Croesy Ceiliogafc to Larkfield Park with both hopeful of ending the season on a positive note.

The Jockeys form has improved as of late with one defeat in their previous five games and with two wins from their final two games would secure a top 10 finish which at one point looked unlikely as they flirted with the relegation places.

Croesyceiliog are currently on a 12 match unbeaten run and victory on Saturday could mean a top 5 finish and a positive way to sign off the season.

In Saturday's other fixture, Brecon Corries AFC welcome Abertillery Bluebirds FC to Rich Field.

Brecon will be hopeful of two wins from their final two games which will secure fifth spot. Corries have been in good form with 5 wins from their last seven.

Abertillery Bluebirds have endured a difficult season and will be hopeful of ending their tenure in the Ardal league as they look to next season and mounting what they hope will be an immediate return.

Jordan Lloyd-Evans gave the Ardal South West champions the lead on 59 minutes before a brace from substitute Lewis Brooks put the game beyond Caerphilly. Brooks grabbed his first two minutes after coming on on 69 minutes and grabbed his second four minutes later. Jack Price added a fifth shortly after coming on before Ashton Walters, another substitute, put through his own net on 88 minutes to reduce the arrears however, Pure Swansea deserved their victory and with it, sealed the double.
