En-Core Dance and Pilates

En-Core Dance and Pilates En-Core Dance and Pilates provides fun, challenging and inclusive Dance and Pilates classes All classes are currently taught by Sally Mitchell.

With over 15 years teaching experience, Sally is passionate about inspiring and sharing her love of dance and movement with each and every student. Sally is a fully qualified teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance and holds a BA (hons) Ballet Education, Associate (ARAD) and Licentiate (LRAD) qualifications, Registered Teacher Status (RAD RTS) and is a Silver Swans Licensee. She is also a qualified

teacher with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), holding a Certificate in Dance Education (CDE) and is trained in Tap, Modern Theatre, Contemporary and Jazz techniques. Complementing her dance qualifications, Sally is a qualified BASI Pilates teacher and is PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique) certified. At En-Core, teaching dance is more than just teaching steps and movements. Students are encouraged to embrace challenges and adopt a growth mindset so that they are able to recognise and achieve their full potential. Creating a welcoming, friendly environment is key to all our classes, so each student has a safe space to learn and achieve. With an emphasis on learning and development, we celebrate and value process of learning new techniques as much as the end goal of an exam or performance. We honour and recognise the importance of our role in shaping and contributing to the development of happy, confident individuals, and aim to equip students with transferable life skills, alongside an excellent understanding of technique, musicality and artistry.

So incredibly proud of all our dancers who performed at the Isle of Wight Music, Dance and Drama Festival this year 💫

It’s been such a joy to see every single one of you shining on stage and truly enjoying your moment – that’s what it’s all about ✨

A special shoutout to our ‘Golden’ Swans 🦢 who were awarded the Spirit of Dance Cup by adjudicator Karen Blackburn – we couldn’t be prouder of you! 💛

Huge thanks to and .hall.31 for accompanying our dancers throughout the week – I genuinely couldn’t have done it without you both! And to for covering classes at En-Core 👊 total team effort!

✨💛 “This is My Place” 💛✨

Last week at En-Core, we were proud to take part in Children’s Mental Health Week, exploring what it truly means to feel like you belong.
Our younger dancers led the way with kindness — thinking about how to make everyone in class feel welcome, taking on teamwork challenges, and learning how to support a friend when they need it most. 🤝
Our older students spent time building deeper connections, getting to know one another beyond the studio through laughter-filled icebreakers, honest conversations, and lots of “Would You Rather” and “Would I Lie to You.”
It was such a wholesome, heart-warming week. I left feeling incredibly proud of the caring, supportive environment we’ve built together at En-Core. The trust and encouragement our dancers show each other is honestly next level — and it’s a privilege to watch them grow not just as dancers, but as people.

This truly is their place. 💫

✨Adult classes for every body and every stage ✨

Don’t let the kids have all the fun!💃🕺🏽We’re proud to offer nine adult classes across the week, and they’ve quickly become a favourite part of our timetable. These sessions are filled with laughter, friendship and the joy of moving together (with the occasional grumble from my dad who still tries to pretend he doesn’t enjoy Pilates 🤷🏽‍♀️🤔)

Group classes are a wonderful way to stay motivated, build confidence and enjoy the many physical and mental benefits of dance and Pilates - all while sharing the experience with others 🤍

Our dance term drew to a close with an entire day of back to back Christmas parties 🤪 These parties wouldn’t be possible without the help of the amazing face painting and all round awesome dream team that is and , the wonderful and all of our incredible class assistants. You guys are THE best!

From Grade one to Advanced one, a huge congratulations to all our dancers who took their RAD exams this week — we are so proud of your hard work, dedication, and passion. Watching you grow, challenge yourselves, and shine is an absolute joy. 🩰💖

RAD exams offer wonderful benefits — from building confidence and discipline to giving dancers clear goals and a sense of achievement and we love that the RAD offer class awards as a more relaxed form of assessment. We also know that exams aren’t for everyone, and that’s absolutely okay. Every dancer’s journey is unique, and we celebrate each path with equal pride. 🌟

Here’s to our dancers, exam-takers and non–exam-takers alike — keep dancing, keep dreaming, and keep being amazing. 💫👏

✨Exciting news…we have a N E W beginners Pilates class starting✨

Join Beth at En-Core Dance and Pilates at 7pm on a Wednesday evening for a 60 minute dynamic and supportive mat based Pilates Class aimed at beginners.

Beth focusses on creating a warm, friendly and welcoming environment with a focus on correct technique and engagement to ensure everyone is exercising safely and effectively with confidence. Class content varies, sometimes using Pilates balls and resistance bands to add extra challenge, support, engagement and variety.
