🗣Huge update coming from the ffc this evening! Something we have been working on so hard behind the scenes and here it is, our new Club badge ready to go onto some kits, our aim this year is to get this design onto a training kit, we've had the approval off all the players and so happy to share our journey with eveyone. Exciting times ahead⚽️
A brand new bold, stylized football club crest with strong ties to identity and place.
At the top, the large “FFC” lettering shows the club initials, giving it a clear team identity. The overall shield shape is classic for sports badges, symbolizing unity, pride, and tradition.
In the center, there’s a football, which anchors the design in the sport itself—clearly representing passion for the game and the club’s purpose.
Behind the ball, the bridge is the most meaningful element for Newport. It closely resembles the Newport Transporter Bridge, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Including it connects the club directly to the town’s industrial heritage and identity, showing pride in where you come from.
The two dragon figures on either side are a strong symbol of Wales. Dragons are deeply associated with Welsh culture (like the red dragon on the national flag), so they reinforce national pride and heritage.
The black and gold color scheme gives the badge a powerful, modern, and slightly regal feel—suggesting strength, ambition, and unity.
At the bottom, the text “Newport • South Wales” makes the connection explicit, grounding the club geographically and culturally.
Overall meaning:
The badge represents a football club rooted in Newport by combining:
Local identity (the bridge)
National pride (the dragons)
Sporting passion (the football)
Unity and strength (the shield and bold design)
It visually says: this is a team from Newport, proud of its Welsh heritage, built on community, and driven by football.
We are so happy with the final product and we hope you are too! So excited to see this on a kit soon 😊
