The Wales National Velodrome in Newport is Walesβ official national Velodrome, is home to Welsh Cycling and hosts national and international competitions, including use by British Cycling for practice sessions. The Wales National Velodrome hosted Team GB and Paralympic GB as they prepared for the Olympic and Paralympic games in London 2012, Beijing 2008 and Athens in 2004. In summer 2012 the Austr
alian and USA Paralympic cycling teams also trained in Newport ahead of the Paralympic Games - and they'll be back again in Summer 2016 ahead of Rio! At Wales National Velodrome you can have a go at cycling the track on one of our beginnerβs sessions or take part in a course. The facilities at the Velodrome also include a Newport Live Gym, a Spinning Studio, free weights gyn, multi-purpose indoor sports arena, 3G Football Pitch and functions rooms available to hire.
