🏆 DOUBLE CHAMPION! 🏆

Huge congratulations to Saindhavi Hemanth on an outstanding weekend at the Ulster U13 Open, taking home both the Girls’ Singles AND Girls’ Doubles titles! 🥇🥇

What a fantastic achievement and another brilliant step forward in her development. The hard work, commitment and determination continue to shine. She came into this event unseeded and facing the top seed in the second round. She managed to win in 3 sets and work her way to taking home the title. Finally thanks to partner Keeva as without her this would also not be possible.

What a weekend for Samved! 👏🔥

U11 Gold Boys’ Doubles Semi FInalist
Now ranked No. 1 in England u10 🇬🇧

An incredible achievement and a reflection of the hard work, commitment and progress Samved has shown on court.

Reaching a Gold final is a fantastic result — but reaching No. 1 in the English U10 rankings makes this a very special milestone.

Keep working. Keep learning. Keep believing. 💪

The journey is only just beginning, we have worked with him now for just under a year on an individual basis and he has truly developed not only on court but also off court. However we are only a piece in the puzzle, testament to all coaches who have also played a huge part from the day he first picked up a racket to the coach with him now in Hampshire and Westgate. This is a team effort and his parents have also supported and trusted this process. We hope to help continue this progress going forwards.

A quality backhand net shot isn’t about a big swing — it’s about control, finger power and precision.

🔹 Relaxed grip
🔹 Short finger movement
🔹 Contact in front of the body
🔹 Soft, controlled follow-through

The aim? Take the shuttle early and make your opponent lift.

This week, we were delighted to welcome two of England’s top juniors Suchir Krishna Addagondla & Punit Kishore Kumar to Newport Badminton Academy for training with our coaching team.

A fantastic opportunity to train together, challenge each other and share knowledge, while continuing to raise the standards.
