The Academy of Historical Fencing is based in South Wales and the South West of England. We currently train in Caerwent Community Centre (Monday) and Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre (Wednesday). THe AHF was originally formed in Feb 2006 as the GHFC before changing to the AHF on 22nd Sept 2006. The school is run by a group of like minded martial artists looking to develop their skills and knowledge in

a safe and relaxed environment whilst also sharing knowledge with like minded people. The school has over 100 members and instructors with a variety of skills, knowledge and expertise in different weapon forms, combat and research. We teach armed combat in the British, German and Italian traditions. We use longswords, sword & buckler, sidesword, rapier, dagger, messer, sword & shield, staff/halberd and sabre/broadsword and smallsword combat. We train with both synthetic and steel weapons and protective equipment including fencing masks is always worn for sparring.

Have Black Fencer hit their 2.0 phase with sabres? This just arrived and is an exciting one as it features all of the upgrades Black Fencer have recently implemented. Thicker edges, improved heat treatment to further improve edge durability. New grip and back strap shape. Improved grip material. Improved stirrup guard design. It's seems huge leap forward.
