On Sunday I went to Meriden for Stage 2 of the National Tour and for my first competition at 70m it went better than expected!! In the first half of qualification I shot a 300 and on the second half i shot a 301. I was really happy with both of them scores and went better than I expected. This placed me 33rd overall which I was happy with.

My first match was against which went really well, it was a really close match finishing 5-5 leading to a 1 arrow shoot off! Moses managed to pip it tho by shooting just in the 9 line to my just out of the 9 line!

Overall the day was really good the weather was perfect and a perfect first shoot at 70m.

This weekend I travelled to for JAS stage 2.

It was a good day the weather was perfect with just a few gusts of wind in the afternoon. I was happy with my score with it being the last chance to get selection scores for Rome.

In the first half of the 720 I got a 319 and I was really happy with and in the second half I got a 308 which is a bit lower but still happy with.

Then starting H2Hs I felt strong going into it and I won my first match 6:2 against Morgan, then went against Otis and lost 6:2.

But overall it was a good weekend and I’m happy with my score.

Thank you for the 📸 , Grace, Mark and Dylan.

Long Mynd Archers Blow Away The Cobwebs…. Living up to its name!

This weekend I shot both days of BATC and in true April fashion we saw every season of the year, multiple times a day! One minute it’s sunny, next it’s windy, then cloudy and windy…. We even got heavy rain, hailstones and snow!

Saturday I shot the double 720, the weather conditions were really difficult and my scores reflected it, the shoot was abandoned shortly after the half way mark of the second round. I managed to finished 1st in category.

Sunday was calmer, but my scores still struggled. I was the only U18 Gent so finished 1st in the open category again but enjoyed a H2H against .mai_archery whilst shooting in a combined open/ladies category.

Thank you as always to for a great weekend.
