FULL TIME – Newport Saints 0–2 Corinthians

It doesn’t get much tougher than Saints away to open the season, but the lads stood up to it. Three red cards in a fiery game, but a calm head and a clinical brace from Jayden Ward (sponsored by KRH Garden Services ) sealed the win.

We kicked off our Welsh Cup campaign with a 12–0 win over Hays St Mary’s at Corrie Park.

Jayden Ward netted five, with further goals from Sam Beckett, Brandon Lovett, Cordell Brown, Joe Beckett, Max Holley, Jacob Seivwright and Ben McCoy-Hontebeyrie in a strong team showing.

Thanks to Hays St Mary’s for staying after the game — we wish them all the best for the season ahead.

This weekend, all of our Junior and Senior teams came together to honour the legacy of one of our founders, Alan Merton, before their matches. Alan helped shape the club into what it is today, and it was only fitting that we paid tribute to him in this special way. He will always be remembered at the Corries. 💙

We finally got chance to wear our new home shirt yesterday as unknowingly modelled by Luke White and Kris Leek!
