Thanks to all members who attended our WANT Open Day at Newport Coirts today. The courts were busy and it was a nice atmosphere.

Linda & Derek attended the Tennis Tayside AGM this afternoon on behalf of the club. They were delighted to collect the certificates for the 5 WANT teams which won their leagues this year- well done to W(2) & W(4) ladies and W(2), W(3) and W(4) men for an excellent season.

This afternoon was the closing match of the local social league, Glenrothes were the hosts and we enjoyed a lovely afternoon of tennis before rain stopped play. Congratulations to Pittenweem who won the shield once again! Many thanks to Alison Farrow for taking the lead in organising the league on Duffus’s behalf. The role now passes to Pavel and Glenrothes.

Club Champs 2025 Draw is now on the Playwaze App. Matches start next weekend.

Entries close at 8pm tomorrow for the 2025 WANT Club Championships. There’s a good entry in the mixed doubles so far with 16 pairs, the men’s doubles with 13 pairs and the men’s singles with 20 entries. More ladies required for the singles though! Remember the new event the Over 40 mixed doubles handicap which is to be named after a longstanding club member!
