Many thanks to our volunteers Ian, Claire and Martin for getting stuck into our compound at the top car park.

We've been gradually clearing it over the spring, and hoping to clear it further ahead of next winter.

A special thank you to Robin from www.troontug.co.uk for helping us do some much needed clearing of the brush around our upper car park!

We now have proper length parking spaces on both sides, which will make it much easier to fit everyone with space to turn come our busy periods.

Thanks to his help, we've also cleared the gravel pile from the top car park, and began the process of opening up car park 3.

Unfortunately with the unseasonably high temperatures today, and forecast for the next two days (Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th May), we have had to close the main slope.

Our beginner slope features new V3 .snowsports mats with expansion joints in it, so it can remain open.

If you have a main slope session scheduled over these 3 days, please get in touch and we will re-arrange your booking. We expect to re-open as normal from Saturday 10am.

We are excited to be part of the Tesco stronger starts 'blue token' scheme!

A large part of the reason we exist is to allow more children to stay physically and mentally healthy by participating in sports at a local facility.

Nothing breaks a session like boots that don't fit, so our application is to get funding towards more junior snowsports equipment (boots, skis, snowboards, bindings), so we can better serve school groups and children in general.

On 4 May, 2 individuals entered the grounds of Peak Park and enacted several acts of vandalism. Unfortunately, as some items cannot be repaired, only replaced, the cost is looking to be in the region of several thousand pounds.

As a small, independent, local charity, this places an unnecessary burden on us to organise and undertake the remedial work required.

We have worked hard over the last year to improve site upkeep and do our part to help Newmilns look and feel that bit nicer. We plan to continue this work despite setbacks like this and would welcome any volunteers who would be able to assist for a few hours either as a once off, or more regularly. If you can help, please contact [email protected]

The matter of damages is with the Police, who are following up on the leads provided by CCTV and items left behind by the vandals.
