What excuses have you made this week so far??

Here are mine....

πŸ™„ It's too cold
πŸ™„ I don't have any free time
πŸ™„ I'm too busy
πŸ™„ I'll definitely start tomorrow...

I've struggled this week with being back in my usual routine, I'm tired, feel sluggish and have no motivation. It's definitely harder at this time of year.

But I've made a promise to myself to do better as I know I will feel better, sleep better and have more energy when I train consistently πŸ’ͺ so I've blocked out some time to train and made a plan to prioritise more movement over the next week.

Lets do this! πŸ’£

We've had a few enquiries about running recently! Here are our top tips for a successful run! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒ

Prepare - create a running programme that is realistic for your fitness levels and start gradually to prevent joint and tissue overload

Stay strong - strength training will address any muscular imbalances and help with symmetry and prevent undue stress on joints and tissues

Shoes - make sure you have the correct running shoe for the shape of your feet

Rest - running is hard on the body, get proper rest and sleep

Dez has been a qualified Personal Trainer for over 7 years so it's safe to say you are in experienced hands! He has a particular interest in injury rehabilitation and will soon be qualified for sports therapy and GP referrals.

His own training regime incorporates lots of strongman elements which he is passionate about πŸ‹β€β™€οΈ He enjoys hillwalking, running and most things outdoors. He also loves music and has pretty impressive knowledge when it comes to a music quiz. Test him with some tricky questions and see if you can out quiz him! 🎢

Dez loves cooking and loves creating something delicious in the kitchen! Ask him for his dirty fries recipe which is outstanding and packs a serious amount of protein! πŸ’£πŸ’₯
