Emmen, you have been an absolute delight!
Today Daniel and Ryan took to the track for the 2L Saloon World of Shale. With 2 qualifying heats then the final it was crucial to get some good points from the get go!
Heat 1 - Daniels set up was slightly off for the track conditions, but still brought his car over the line in 3rd! Ryan drove great and brought it over the line as the winner 🏁
Heat 2 - Daniels car was SO much better and was so quick; pulling ahead and having a good gap to 2nd by 1/4 of a lap. Brought his car over the line as the winner 🏁 Ryan got taken out early on, but still drove great and brought the car over the line in 3rd!
Grid was released and with Daniel and Ryan both having a 1st and 3rd each; it meant it was a UK front row lock out 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Final - Being in Holland we knew the locals weren’t going to go easy on us, both Ryan and Daniel drove hard. Ryan took the lead, Daniel dropped back to 4th after a messy wet shale start. 4 laps in Ryan was spun round falling to the back of the grid, Daniel was chasing down 1st.
Unfortunately a few laps later Daniel then also got spun round and was stuck on a marker tyre and couldn’t finish the race. Ryan was still in it, climbing back through the grid, but with the leader and second place having a good gap; he wasn’t able to catch them so he brought his car home in 3rd 🏁
It’s been one very fun weekend, and we have all had a fantastic time, but now, it’s time to head back to the boat and get ourselves home!
