ANNOUNCEMENT - CANCELLED: Club tournament planned for TODAY Sunday 24 May (assuming anyone actually had this in their diary) as we seem to have got off to a slow start at club, people are away or likely to have plans over the bank holiday weekend and, although a shame to miss out on a sunny day, the weather is very hot! All planned events are on our Clubspark web page, were in the AGM minutes and for good measure will be sent via WhatsApp and email over the weekend and posted here so that everyone can add them into diaries. Looking for an active and fun way to keep the kids busy this Easter holidays? Our Easter Tennis Camps at Newmarket URC Tennis Club are the perfect mix of learning, games, and making new friends on court!

🌟 Ages: 6–16 years

Week 1: Monday 30th March + Tuesday 31st March
⏰ Time: 2pm-3:30pm (6-9yrs) + 3:30pm-5pm (10-16yrs)
Week 2: Tuesday 7th April + Wednesday 8th April
⏰ Time: 2pm-3:30pm (6-9yrs) + 3:30pm-5pm (10-16yrs)

COACHING: Saturday mornings, during term, starting 10 Jan 2026 for 11 weeks (excluding half-term 21 Feb):
09.00-10.00am: 9-15 yrs old
10:00-11.00am: 4-8 yrs old

THE "Super green strollers" restart (weather permitting) Mon 5 Jan 10.30 to 11.30am, lead by Tony Wilkinson - walking tennis rules and balls for those a little less mobile including returning from injury - free to club members.

Diary Dates:

AGM Thursday 19 March 7pm at the Club House

OPEN DAY Sunday 10th May 10:00am-4.00pm. Everyone welcome to come along and play for free, meet current members and enjoy a discount if you decide to join on the day. Our coach will also be on hand to answer any queries. Refreshments available.

CLUB NIGHTS START ON Wednesdays from 5.30pm, INITIALLY ON THE HARD COURT ideally April 2026 THEN GRASS COURTS from 6.00pm early May (dates TBC )

CAR BOOT SALE (ON THE SEVERALS) Sunday 14 June - so we'll be looking for helpers plus (nearer the time) items for our pitch.
