The Horse Comes First

The Horse Comes First The leading organisations in British Horseracing have got together to increase awareness of the high standards of equine welfare in the sport.

The Horse Comes First aims to improve understanding of the care given to racehorses throughout and after their careers in racing. The Initiative is supported by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), Racecourse Association (RCA), Racehorse Owners Association (ROA), Professional Jockeys Association (PJA), National Trainers Federation (NTF) and The Jockey Club.
