Good morning Show Competitors entered in the Newmarket RoR Show in a couple of weeks, on Saturday 19th September.

I've emailed you all with important information about the show, such as the gate code, address details, rules reminders and other important information so please do check your inbox and read the email!

There are a couple of spaces that have popped up from cancellations so if people still wanted to take part, please do check the horse monkey link if you fancy still taking part.

Thank you so so much for everyone who braved today’s downpours to come to our lessons with David Britnell Eventing, you all did so well and what brilliant teaching from David.
I am thoroughly impressed and from the feedback I got, you all were too!

Also so grateful to Equine Products UK Ltd (South East region) who joined us and who kindly gave goodie bags to all who entered, how incredibly generous thank you so much!

Once David gets home and dries off he and I are going to get some more dates in the diary for the rest of the year and into 2027 so please to keep an eye on the page!

For those of you competing but have friends or family that want to come and watch you, please do take a note of the attached post from NHRM about coming to watch (cars will not be allowed to follow in lorries or trailer, we do not have space to park them).

Tickets are £5 to attend, gates open at 10am, 30 minutes before class 1 starts.

There should be a coffee and tea wagon attending to provide drinks and refreshments and there is the onsite restaurant and bakery for food

The Museum is welcoming back the Retraining of Racehorses annual show to the Peter O’Sullevan Arena.

The event will feature the RoR Tattersalls Amateur Ridden Show Series, Open In Hand Qualifier classes and an unaffiliated Novice Ridden Retrained Thoroughbred Racehorse class.

🕙 Time: 10.30am to 3.30pm
📍 Location: Peter O’Sullevan Arena, National Horseracing Museum

Huge Congratulations to Newmarket based and nearby riders who did so incredibly well at the RoR National Championships last week!

Thea Geake and American Gerry were crowned RoR Novice Ridden Champions! 🏆 and were Reserve Champions in the RoR Ridden Showing Series Supreme Final.

Emily Simpson and Vancouverite were crowned RoR Challenge Series Champions! 🏆

Debbie Hodge- Phillips Barracuda Boy was crowned In Hand Veterans Champions 🏆 and were Reserve In-Hand Show Series Supreme.

Local rider Trudie Tideswell and Theydon Spirit were runners up in the Amateur Ridden Show Series Championship also.

I know there were others who came in the top 10 of the championship finals so please do let me know how you did and please do share your photos as I love seeing how you all did.

I am incredibly proud of all of you, a massive well done!!!

✨ Newmarket RoR Show update✨

I am working with NHRM at the moment to make sure everything is in place for the show, the arena will be harrowed and it'll be flat and level.
Plus we'll have the small tannoy system again to read out the notes you submit about your horses so that all those attending will know a little about your horse (look out for the email asking for those!) while you do your show!

The order is in with the rosette maker 🏅 so that every competitor will get a beautiful rosette in the colours of the sponsor. And I am getting a list together of prizes that the sponsors generosity funds so that again each competitor goes home with a little something in a goody bag!🏆

And finally I have booked the NARS Photograph of the Year winner as the photographer for the day so hopefully all of you go home with a photo or two to remember your day! 📸

Lot's going on behind the scenes and I cannot wait to welcome you all on Saturday 19th September at The Peter O'Sullevan Arena Newmarket at NHRM!
