Good as Gold is staffed in accordance with government standards. In the Baby Room we have provision for 12 babies (0-2) with a staffing ratio of 1:3. In the Toddler Suite we can cater for up to 37 children with a staffing ratio of 1:4 for 2 year olds, and 1:8 for 3 and 4 year olds. The Officer-in-Charge holds a BA(Hons) Degree in Early Years, and has also achieved Early Years Teacher Status. All K

ey Persons have attained level 3 qualifications in childcare, and all staff also hold First Aid qualifications and receive training in safeguarding children.

As you can see, the children all had a great time playing in the paddling pools, but the downside of a morning in the pool is the aftermath of the washing!!! We have an abundance of swimsuits for our girls but would be very grateful for any donations of boys swimwear. Thank you.

Pennies at the ready, we took a trip to Isabakes in Rawtenstall for our ice-cream!
Izzy welcomed our children, took their orders and made them feel super special. Whilst Izzy prepared our ice-cream, we chose Vanilla or caramel, we looked at all the fantastic looking cakes and decided which one we liked best, but they all looked amazing!
Thank you Izzy, our ice-creams were delicious and our trip was a super special treat!

I can't believe how fast this year is flying by! It only seems like yesterday we we were taking First Day of Preschool photos and now our children have already started to leave to go to school! They are more than ready but it is always sad saying goodbye. Our preschool uniforms for September have now arrived, which is always an exciting time, and this year we have some optional nursery t-shirts for our younger children. We had a lovely brunch this morning at Stuff Yourself in Waterfoot! In preparation the children decided what they would like to order and completed their own little form to hand over at the cafe. They were very excited and had the best time! As usual the children were exceptionally well behaved and we were very proud of them. A massive thank you to Kim, Phil and Dannii at Stuff Yourself for making the children feel so welcome.
