We are currently looking at taking on 2 new players for our U13s team. We are currently playing our football in the ELFA in Division 2 on Sundays. We train on Tuesdays 7-8 at The Valley Rossendale. We are looking at players who currently play in a team (on Saturdays) or someone who has played before.

Here’s our recent results :

We faced Great Harwood Rovers on Remembrance Sunday and the lads moved the ball around with some real confidence, some of the passing and movement off the ball was superb. Great Harwood Rover had some good spells in the game but our defensive line played out their socks. Only down side on the day is that we didn’t take a clean sheet but we ended strong and won the game 11-1. Goals from Sonny (3) Xander (4) Taylor (1) Theo.P (1) Coby (2)

MotM - Ihsaan, he read the game really well stayed switched on all game and his passing out from the back was brilliant.

After 2 postponed games due to the bad weather we finally managed to get a game. We ended up playing Blackburn eagles in a friendly, we went into this game nervous as they are in Division 2. Our nerves went out the window early in the game as the lads were unplayable and had the Blackburn side stunned. The game ended 10-0 to us. Goals came from Sonny (4) Taylor (2) Xander (2) Coby (1) Theo.P (1)

MotM - Xander, he ran the show in midfield and bagged himself a couple of goals in the process. He’s been a tremendous addition to the team since joining at the end of last season.

Today we faced top of the league Inter Pro who had a 3 point lead on us and what a game it was by fair our toughest game this season really good showing from both team showcasing why we’ve been at the top all season they moved the ball around really well but the Rossy lads were the side pushing for a goal early on and it was Taylor who put us ahead of the wing with a great strike, Inter Pro managed to put our defensive line under pressure and after a poor clearance one of our defenders brought one of Inters player down in the box giving away a penalty 1-1 at half time.
2nd half the Rossendale lads looked more focused and the game was a lot more even with both team having good spells throughout the half but it was us who took our chance and Sonny put us ahead with a great strike from the edge of the box. With less than 10 minutes to go both teams were battling hard but at the final whistle its was the Stags who came away with the win pulling level on points and handing Inter Pro their 1st defeat of the season. Brilliant game.

MotM - Billy and Marcus, both were brilliant today cleaned everything up covering the whole defence, making a solid CB partnership! Well Done 👏🏻

We’ve earned ourselves Promotion to Division 2 for Part B of the season. Looking forward to the challenge that it will bring for the lads. Well Done everyone involved with our team from the parents to the coaches 👏🏻

We face Lammack Juniors away next week in the 1st Round of the Trophy (cup). Come along and support the lads!!

Here’s our recent results after our loss against Darwen Rangers we’ve bounced back with 4 out of 4 wins taking us to the top of the league with 18 points winning 6 and losing 1.

1st we were away to Blackburn All Stars and the lads went out to show us that Darwen was just a blip and walked away putting 11 past the Blackburn side. Goals from Xander (1) Sonny (3) Theo.P (2) with Coby, Jacob, Auden and Oliver all grabbing 1 each as well plus an OG from the home side. MotM went to Jenson who’s clever through balls and passing were a driving force in many of the goals scored.

Next up we were at home to Blackburn Utd and the boys ran riot ending the game 17-2 14-0 at half time. Goals from Taylor (3) Jenson (2) Sonny (4) Xander (4) Kane (2) Ihsaan and Jacob both getting 1 each. MOTM went to Billy and Coby who’s defensive display were top draw all game.

Then we faced unbeaten side Fulledge colts who were looking dominant in the league. The boys displayed a near perfect performance dominating Fulledge all over the field everyone played with passion and worked tirelessly for one another. Goals from Taylor (2) Jenson (1) Sonny (2) and Xander (1). MotM went to Auden who didn’t put a foot wrong all game was calm in possession and sprayed the ball all over the pitches 👏🏻

Last one, Rossendale faced Colne Juniors away on a wet and windy afternoon and again even in the harsh conditions the boys dug in with the top spot up for grabs if we won and that they did with the game ending 8-1 again with another dominant performance.
Goals from Coby (3) and Taylor Jenson Sonny Theo.P and Xander all getting one each. MotM was given to Coby who’s 1st have defensive performance was brilliant then he had a stint up top and bagged himself an hat trick. Well done!!

Next up for the Stags is a local derby to Bacup CFC next Sunday afternoon.

Recent results from the start of the season for the stags 🦌🔵⚪️🟠⚫️

Kicked off the season with a Rossendale derby against local rivals Rossendale Valley Tigers which the Blue and White side of Rossendale won 5-2 with goals from Taylor (2) Sonny (2) and Theo.P (1). MotM went to Billy for a solid captains performance in the season opener.

2nd game of the season and the 1st home game at our new home was against a strong Colne Juniors Blacks side which the lads won comfortably 8-1 with goals from Sonny (5) Xander (1) Theo.P (1) and Oliver (1). MotM went to Sonny for his goal contributions and his consistent work rate through out the game.

3rd game of the season away to InterPro FC unfortunately got postponed due to bad weather to be replayed in December.

4th game of the season was at home to Darwin Rangers Greens on a sunny autumn morning, the lads displayed a strong 1st half performance peppering the Darwin keeper but only managed to put one in the back of the net. Darwin came out all guns blazing in the 2nd pulling level early in the half, Rossendale won a penalty with 10 minutes to go which hit the post and we stayed level after a sloppy bit of football Darwin bagged a winner with minutes to go giving us our 1st defeat of the season. Taylor scored our only goals and took home the coach’s MotM after a fantastic game on the wing showcasing his strength going forward and he defensive work.

The Stags face Blackburn AllStars Blues away in their next game.

Well some of you may not know but unfortunately last season was our last as Waterfoot Wanderers FC as a club due to the lads moving up to U13s 11 a side we struggled to secure a full size pitch to call our home due to the demand in the Rossendale area but after many talks and months of deliberation we approached well established Rossendale United Juniors FC who welcomed us and gave us a new home but with that came a new name so we are now Rossendale United Juniors FC (ORANGES) still keeping a bit of the WWFC with us. We’ve welcomed some new players and lost some of our originals which is never easy but the new lads have fit in with the original bunch and we’ve had a strong pre season and gone into the new season winning 2 out of 2 putting 13 goals in the net and only conceding 3 we look forward to sharing our match reports again with you all and hopefully we can have many successful years ahead with our new club.

We want to thank everyone who’s helped us make WWFC a massive success over the years to all our sponsors for providing the lads with everything they needed to the parents who’ve helped in all weather putting nets up and down, to the coaches past and present there’s to many to mention from over the years but you all know who you are… Thank You 🙏🏻

So if your ever at a loose end on a Sunday morning get up to The Glen and cheer on the lads in blue and white 🔵⚪️👍🏻

The lads had thier 1st taste of 11 a side football on Sunday away to Todmorden Sparks. Fantastic team performance from all the lads they played Tod of the park with a dominant display. Really happy with how they adapted to the 11 a side game on a big pitch and playing in that heat. We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves but If we keep working hard in training an apply ourselves like that at matches every week the good performances will keep coming.

MotM today goes to Xander who had a fantastic debut for us dictated play brilliantly in midfield getting the boys out and bagged himself a goal as well. Well done 👏🏻🏅

Thanks to Theo and Will for coming in and helping us with numbers today both played really well.

Today we hosted Burnley academy as we tried to close the gap on 3rd place in the league.

Tough game against a well organised Burnley team. We had decent spells in the game an probably should have had a couple more goals but feel a draw was a fair result. Well done to Coby getting his 1st goal for the wanderers nice lob after a good battle in midfield 👏🏻.

Me and Arron have gone with Oliver as our MotM made some fantastic saves and his distribution was top today an also took a bang on the head for his efforts. Well done 👏🏻🏅.
