New Oranges

Gosh, so much information processing went on via my index and middle finger before I pulled of the floor on this climb 😳.

The side pull/ crimp combination notably confused me!

I actually never really thoroughly thought about what type of information we gather with which finger and how we use the information. I’m genuinely would love to know if anyone knows much about this?

It’s pretty interesting (and complicated!) when you start looking into it!

Being able to hold them often relies greatly on the foot position! (Even when your feet aren’t on a hold)
posted some great post recently about ‘how to use’ these types of holds

I wish I had the vocabulary to express how much this lady means to me and my family, I really do. Seeing her today at the wall, after 11 years, was the best thing! And actually pretty emotional 🤫.
Nic looked after Andy, back in 2010, while he was in a coma in the Intensive Care Unit. I’m convinced her way of caring for someone (she went above and beyond what’s ‘expected’ of her job), her endless positivity and sense of humour helped Andy get to where he is now (in so many ways). And to put that into perspective: his original prognosis was ‘little change of survival’, let alone being able to ever walk again!

So seeing them at the wall together today was…..well…..indescribable ❤️

On the NEW GREENS

Two weeks have passed since the WCS’21 (). To bring some of the workshops together I thought I set a problem including the knee-bar skills of her workshop, the flow of movement practice from .schirrmacher her workshop, the training for indoor climbing from her workshop, some dynamic movement initiation from and their workshops and some of my own ‘N.A.S.T.Y. holds practice…..

Every year I’m gutted I can’t attend all the workshops myself. I’d learn a lot from these amazing climbing coaches. Can’t wait to catch up soon again.

New Blues went up at the Valley this morning. After setting at the Works in Sheffield yesterday ( ), which was great, I hadn’t much energy left this morning. Good thing Spring and were on form 💪during testing.

…’messed up’ the sequence but continued…..You can tell I over-tensed because of it, because my body relaxed (incl. face #😁) as soon as I got back into sequence…
