Muckle CC A progressive cycling club & race team
⛰️ We Ride Hills
📍 Newcastle upon Tyne
👇 Ride with us Above all we have a great team ethic and we are very proud of that!

MCC was founded in 2015 by local riders with similar interests with the desire to seek out new roads and hills to explore. From those humble beginnings a short space of time ago we've now got a club of over 100 riders from across the North East with a highly competitive race team. The club is open to experienced road cyclists who want to progress within the race scene or who want to ride hilly and

often challenging routes. We also expect members to contribute to the club in someway over the year either in a volunteering capacity or leading a ride. We're not interested in being the biggest club in the world or having people join to be never seen again. Aside from our road race team we also compete in hill climbs (N&DCA team champs 2016 - 2021), TT's, CX and we also have a separate Triathlon Team. We strive to do things a little differently to other clubs - we think that is evident in our kit design, social media and the events and races that we run. Our club kit is made by Castelli & Nopinz

MCC aims are:

* To promote and enjoy hill riding and road racing
* Welcome experienced riders who want to progress and be part of a team
* To promote the club and expand its membership to like minded riders
* Develop our race team and continue to progress on the local race scene

If you would like to find out more take a minute to check out our website www.muckle.cc

We only accept new members if you have been on a few rides with us so please get in touch before applying. MCC

Who else from the NE is planning on heading down to Porlock for the Nats? We have 4 riders making the journey 🚐

Looking forward to the event Minehead Cycling Club 🏁

This October, Minehead Cycling Club will be welcoming riders from across the country to Porlock for the 2026 RTTC National Hill Climb Championship.

For a local cycling club, hosting a national championship on our doorstep is a pretty special opportunity – and one we’re really looking forward to sharing with the wider community.

On Sunday 25 October, the Porlock Toll Road will become the setting for one of the biggest events in the UK hill climb calendar, with riders taking on the 4.1-mile climb in pursuit of the national title.

But the day isn’t just for those taking part. We’d love to see local people, cycling fans, families and visitors lining the route and enjoying the atmosphere as some of the country’s best hill climbers take on one of Exmoor’s most spectacular roads.

There’s still plenty to come between now and October, and over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing more about the event, the riders, the course and how you can get involved.
