We are a large team which caters for beginners right through to Team GB for age group athletes. We train as a club everyday and encourage individuals to train to the best of their ability. Additionally, we are very sociable and organise lots of difference social events. We provide support for our performance squad who are specifically focussed on those people that want to push their performance to

the next level! Whatever your level, Newcastle Tri has one of the most supportive and friendly atmospheres. 3 weeks ago 18 of TNT headed out to compete in one of our local races, Ponteland Sprint Tri. It was a fantastic day out with lots of people building on their performances at BUCS sprint, lots of first tris and some PBs. The northumberland weather wasn’t the best with a bit of a brutal wind on the bike and some threatening rain but spirits remained high thanks to the cheers of our great support team. Anna, Athene and Meg took a clean sweep of the Womans podium and the TNT girls made up 6 of the top 10. Well done to James and Chris for placing 3rd and 4th respectively in the senior category. Thanks to the organisers for a great event!

Exams are in full swing but we still have lots of sessions this week!!!

Unfortunately Monday is our last swim of the year😓 (there are lots of pools around Newcastle if anyone feels like they are missing their swims for next week!!)

Keep an eye on the chat for adjustments in sessions and make sure you have filled out the ball food form sent on WhatsApp 💃🕺

Last weekend 20 TNTC members travelled down to Nottingham to compete at BUCS 10 mile time trial. Lots of PBs were set, the weekend was great fun and we were undoubtably the best/loudest supporters. A special well done to Alfie (18th) and Anna (4th) for being our fastest this weekend and also to Anna and Lucy for coming 2nd in the team female road bike category. Now our focus turns towards BUCS sprint this weekend

On the 3rd of June we will be hosting our Summer Ball at Pitcher and Piano on Quayside📍

Ticket price includes:
- 3 course meal 🍽️

Happy Monday and happy return to training 🌟

On Thursday 23rd we are holding our annual AGM where we will vote for our committee for year 2026/27!!!!

Come along so you can have your say on who leads the club next year!!!

Due to the AGM clashing with Thursday Run… the run will now happen before swim on Friday at 5pm!!!!

Another change to the weekly schedule is there is no swimming on Tuesdays anymore ❌

Swim sessions are on this week but will be the last for a while due to school holiday closures 🏊‍♀️

There are lots of things to keep an eye on in our WhatsApp including noting if you are planning on getting involved with BUCS sprint and the 10-mile TT 🏊‍♀️🏃🏽🚴🏼‍♀️

Lots of info has been released but send any specific questions into the chats!!

During swims this week we are giving everyone the opportunity to have a go at a 400m time trial in preparation for BUCS (poll has been sent out on the swim chat 🏊‍♀️)
