Ryton badminton club was set up by parents from Ryton comprehensive school in 1977 and ever since has provided opportunity for adults and young people of all levels of skill to have fun and develop their game. Originally the game was played with two rolled up newspapers and a dead budgie, but we have changed with the times! Now players bring their own Badminton racquets and we supply the nets and

the Shuttlecocks. Blaydon Youth and Community Centre
Shibdon Rd. Blaydon Tyne and Wear,
7.45 till 9.30 on Friday nights.

£5 for adults, £3 for concessions and young people. We accept player from the age of 13+. 13 to 16 year old must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible person.

LETTING ALLOUR PLAYERS KNOW FROM 1ST OF MAY THE HIRE OF THE HALL HAS INCREASED. IT IS NOW £54 PER SESSION SO WE WILL NEED A MINIMUM OF 11 PLAYERS EVERY WEEK TO PAY FOR THIS, COULD PLAYERS SUPPORT US AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE FOR THE FUTURE TO KEEP OUR CLUB GOING.
