I offer fun, supportive and energetic singing lessons that are made to suit you. I work with all styles/genres of singing for 5 year olds and above. I am a qualified teacher registered with the Institute of Vocal Advancement which is the technique that I teach. My aim is to train the voice to sing in a free and natural way, from the bottom of your range to the top with no breaks or changes in qual

ity. This gives the student access to all dynamics with tonal clarity and flexibility in a way that all words are understood. Students will achieve this by finding a balance between air flow and intrinsic muscular resistance by resting the larynx (voice box) in the correct position. I will help you to improve your range, endurance, breath control, resonance and vocal quality. This can be done across all styles of music without fatigue or damage to your voice.

Hello lovely people!

We have a Children's Choir Activity Day on Wednesday 19th August at the John Marley Centre (NE15 6TT). Children will learn new songs, participate in musical games and learn confidence building skills. The lovely day is for children from 5-12 years old and there is no need to read music or have any prior experience. The sessions are taught by ear by our wonderful Vocal Instructor and Qualified Primary Teacher Joseph Bell.

There are lots of amazing opportunities to sing and be part of a thriving singing community at Kathryn Lowdon Vocal Studio and we are so proud of it!

We offer: 1:1 singing lessons with our amazing team of vocal instructors; Kathryn, Joseph, Oliver & Gemma, performance opportunities to showcase your voice and hone your craft, recording studio experiences, Children's Choir led by Joseph and Kathryn's Soul Choir for adults. We are even preparing some weekend workshops over the coming months so stay tuned.

There is also the opportunity to attend Gemma's open mic night on Tuesday evenings so get in touch if you'd like to participate.
