We are privileged to have a great golf 18-hole course, with modern clubhouse facilities that combine the best of tradition with a firm eye on the future. To visitors: I doubt you will find a more enjoyable example of a heathland course in the North of England. Couple this with, the fact that you are playing over and beside the Racecourse makes the whole experience memorable. This is not one of those forgettable courses where you struggle to distinguish one hole from another. Nor is it an unrelenting slog - tactical golf is required, typical of its designers.
