One of our academic highlights being part of the BWCET event 👏👏

🏅 One Week On From Our Celebration of Sport 2026! 🏅

It’s hard to believe that it has already been a week since our fantastic Celebration of Sport 2026 event.

The winners' medals are now making their way to schools, and we'd like to say a huge congratulations to all the children who received a medal. However, the greatest achievement was simply taking part, showing determination, teamwork, resilience and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the day. Every child who competed should be incredibly proud of themselves. 👏

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our event partners for their support on the day:

✨ What an incredible day! ✨

A huge congratulations to all of the schools who took part in the Gateshead School Sport Partnership and Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust Celebration Day at Gateshead Stadium.

The Creative Dance Centre were delighted to be commissioned to deliver the dance element of the day, and we’re incredibly proud of our amazing dance artists, Rachael Tait and Olivia Patterson, who led a mass dance workshop for over 1,000 young people. What an achievement!

Most importantly, a huge well done to every young person who took part. Your enthusiasm, energy, commitment and smiles were amazing to see. You embraced every challenge, supported one another and showed just how powerful dance can be.

Days like today remind us that dance is so much more than movement. It plays a vital role in physical education, wellbeing and enrichment, bringing young people together through movement, creativity and celebration.

Thank you to everyone involved for making it such a memorable event. We loved being part of such an inspiring day and can’t wait to do it all again! 💙💃

What a fantastic day we have had today at Carr Hill Primary School! ❤️ We worked with each class to deliver some fabulous football themed dancing ⚽️ Every child gave it their all despite the heatwave and showed us their amazing creativity and dance moves!💃🏼☀️🕺

We had an amazing day yesterday at Kells Lane Primary School delivering our football themed ‘World Cup Dance-a-thon’ ⚽️🏆 We kicked, we scored and we even saved a few accompanied by some iconic music such as Vindaloo and Waka Waka! 🎵

We can’t wait to deliver more of our World Cup dance workshops over the next few weeks! 💃🏼❤️🕺
