🐣 Easter Raffle 🐣
Thanks to everyone for the support with the Easter raffle in which to raise funds for our upcoming Blackpool performances.
We raised a whopping £310 🤯🎉 - because of this we decided to do a 1st & 2nd place.
The winners are:

Leanne Illingworth School of Dance has been established for 10 years now and has schools in Northumberland & North Tyneside. We are part of the Northern Counties Dance Teachers Association where the students can participate in examinations to receive trophies and certificates for their hard work or participate in shows across the North East to show our families/friends how much fun we have whilst learning how to dance.
Styles of dance we teach here are: Ballet, Tap, Modern Stage & Cheer-Dance!

10 years ago I bit the bullet and followed a dream I always had growing up. I opened my very own dance school with a little class on a Monday evening not thinking it would be where it is today.
10 years on I’ve expanded and grew my business to what it is today with the help and support from my family, friends, students and their families. I will be forever grateful of the opportunities given and I’ve definitely made memories to cherish for a lifetime. I’ve made lifelong friends along the way & helped dreams become realities. To see my students be happy, confident, sassy & a whole lot more is a feeling that will never leave me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart - here’s to the next 10 years! 🩷🩰

WHAT A DAYYY…
I can’t begin to describe the emotions of today!
I am beyond proud of each and every student - they were absolutely amazing & performed like little superstars. Thank you so much for the lovely comments, messages & gifts - it’s greatly appreciated & lovely to hear feedback.

I’d like to thank my amazing helpers: Jenna, Gill, Denise, Lucy, Holly, Ruby, Claire, Kelly, Rachael, Sarah & Maisie - today wouldn’t have happened without you guys.
And most importantly I’d like to thank my mam… Liz/Giddy Mildred as we now call her 😂
To give up her spare time to think and make costumes, support not only myself but all the students, come to classes week in/week out & still have time to nag me, I don’t know how she fits it all in haha! I know we would all be lost without her & I am really grateful to have someone by my side who supports me and pushes me to achieve my dreams!

And finally… Newcastle winning the cup final was the icing on the cake. I’m bloody glad after all the changes we made! Sure it was our little finale that spurred them on - lucky charm 🖤🤍

Thanks so much everyone from the bottom of my heart. Have a lovely week off and I will see you when classes return!

The night before showday…
Reflecting on the past 16 months & how much each student has grown. The confidence, the enthusiasm, their abilities & we can’t forget the sass levels!
Mixed emotions as always from myself - I’m so excited to see them perform tomorrow because they have worked their socks off but also very sad as this part of the journey will be over after working on it for sooo long - meaning I have to get the dreaded exam syllabi out again 😂🫣

I can’t thank my support network enough for the support they’ve given me not just for this show but over the past 10 years. You guys know who you are I won’t embarrass you today… maybe tomorrow!

Early nights all around & I’ll see everyone in the morning!
