A league ruling forced the original joint-university team (of University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent) to split into 2 separate teams. So in 2008, Chris O'Dea #23, the original President, created the NTU Renegades. Each year, the 2 Nottingham Universities compete in the Charity Varsity series and aim to bring home the Varsity title each year. The NTU Renegades are currently unbeaten in the V
arsity series and are looking to make it 7 wins out of 7 in the 2015/2016 season. The Renegades have also been successful in BUCS. Every year since the clubs inception we have made it to the playoffs and the climax of that was in the 2012/13 season when we won our first National Trophy under the club's 2nd President Marcus "Patches" Boswell #24. With a huge influx of rookies each year, we are entering the 2015/16 season with a young exciting squad with the ambition of competing for honours again. In addition to our high-level Football program, we maintain an active social scene. The highlights include the University-wide Tour with Outgoing to Lloret-de-Mar, the Wednesday night socials to Ocean (always in fancy dress) and team meals at various all you can eat buffets.
