🥈 Silver for ex-Tyne Junior JPL! 🇬🇧

With our first Junior Learn to Row of the summer starting today, it was fantastic to see one of our former juniors, James Purves Liddelle (JPL), pick up a silver medal representing Great Britain at the FISU World University Championships in Canada at the weekend! 🇨🇦

🏁 COUNTDOWN TO TYNE REGATTA! 🏁

Only ONE WEEK LEFT to enter Tyne Regatta! 🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️

Get involved in a brilliant day of late summer racing on the River Tyne, with a relaxed atmosphere, loads of racing and plenty going on throughout the day.

🔥 Division 3 is the Captain’s Regatta!
A knockout competition in eights and stable quads, with crews drawn on the day. Competitors from Divisions 1 & 2 are welcome to enter too - it’s always real fun!

And that’s not all… there’s so much more happening throughout the day.

🚣 Ever wanted to give rowing a go?

This August we’re running two Junior Learn to Row camps at Tyne ARC for anyone aged 11-18 who wants to try something new. No experience needed - just come along, have fun and learn a new sport!

📅 17-20 August : 09:00-14:00 📅 24-27 August : 12:00-17:00

You’ll learn the basics of rowing, meet new people and spend the week out on the river with our friendly coaches and current juniors.

British Rowing Club Championships 2026

Last weekend, Tyne Juniors travelled to Nottingham to compete at the British Rowing Club Championships. It was a fantastic weekend of racing, with our athletes putting in some brilliant performances against strong competition from across the country.

We are incredibly proud of every junior who raced over the weekend. A huge thank you to our coaches, volunteers, parents and supporters for all the time and effort you put in to make opportunities like this possible.

Next up, we’re looking forward to welcoming new athletes onto our Learn to Row courses before returning to racing at Tyne Regatta on 22 August. We can’t wait to see you there!

⚫️⚪️Next up: Talkin Tarn Regatta. Then all eyes turn to the British Rowing National Championships. ⚫️⚪️

The squad has been putting in the work, session after session, and is ready to take to the water soon. Talkin Tarn next weekend before racing against the very best from across the country at Holme Pierre-point.

We’re excited to show what Tyne Juniors has to offer on the national stage. Race hard, back your training, and leave it all on the water.

Durham Regatta 2026

As always, Durham Regatta was an exciting and busy weekend of racing. Every rower raced strong, and it’s fantastic to see all the hard work and commitment throughout the season paying off.

National Schools’ Regatta 2026

Two crews travelled down to Eton Dorney for a fantastic few days of racing against some of the best junior crews in the country.

J14 4x+ 2nd in the B Final
Tristan, Sam, Will, Seb & cox Lucy. A brilliant result and a great first National Schools’ Regatta for the crew.

Ch 1x 7th in the C Final
Beau put together a strong performance, racing well against a highly competitive field.

Well done to all athletes and coaches for their hard work, commitment and racing over the weekend. A regatta to be proud of, and great momentum moving forward!
