Back to winning ways for the Blues! 💙❤️

Last week’s defeat hurt, but the boys responded brilliantly this morning.

Despite dominating the first half, it was South Shields who struck first.

The lads kept pushing and were rewarded after two excellent set-piece deliveries from Maxi, with Charlie and Archie converting to turn the game around. ⚽️⚽️

Wind made things difficult in the second half, but lads battled hard for each other and saw the game out for a deserved three points.

Coaches’ Star Man went to the full team, everyone was excellent today! 👏

Took a while to post this one as it was one we would rather forget ! 😬

Nothing much to say other then the better team on the day won, outplayed us in every way.

We did however manage a consolation goal to take the clean sheet thanks to a cracker from Hudson 💥

We learn more from these results then any other so the boys will be looking to put things right today as they face South Sheilds home @ The Dene.

Don’t let the 0-0 scoreline fool you, this was anything but a dull game!

A great battle of proper football from both sides tonight, with plenty of effort, intensity and chances, but neither team could find a way through thanks to some fantastic defensive displays.

The lads battled hard with their counterparts and can take plenty of positives into the weekend.

Wor number 1 showed all his goalkeeper qualities tonight, staying focused and alert throughout and ready for anything that came his way.

Another clean sheet and a well-deserved Star Player award.

OPENING DAY VICTORY FOR THE BLUES!

The lads got their U12 campaign off to a fantastic start with a 2-0 home win over Wideopen Comets.

A nervy start saw Joey make a couple of fantastic saves to keep us level before Kaylem put us ahead just before half-time. After two years away, he’s back with a bang! 🔥

The second half saw us create plenty of chances before a brilliant team move saw Sam assist Charlie for a lovely finish and the crucial second goal. 👏

3 points secured! 💙

🏆 Coaches Star Player went to Sam who showed brilliant versatility across different roles, capped off with that excellent assist.

FLAMINGO LAND U11 CHAMPIONS OF THE WEEKEND! 🏆

What a weekend !! Every player contributed to the win, and more importantly, their behavior throughout the weekend was spot on.

They represented the club well, showing great sportsmanship during the matches and conducting themselves brilliantly around the park.

The boys put in a solid shift during their games:

• Played 7, Won 7
• Stats: 45 goals scored and 0 conceded
• Result: U11 Cup Winners

It wasn't just about the football, our families all had a brilliant time together, making the most of the weekend away! ☀️ 🍺 💃 🎢

A special mention goes to Alex, who was voted player of the tournament, awarded by the referees, well deserved for a great shift.

Well done to all the lads and thanks to the parents for making it such an enjoyable trip. 💙❤️

3 points to the Monty boys.

A clean sheet and the win for the lads on a fine Tuesday night at Denton Dene.

South Shields came to battle and as per brought with them some great football so it was always going to be a tough game however the monty boys stuck at it and ground out a 1-0 win courtesy of the match winner Hudson.

Coaches POTM was split between Joey and Alex. Joey was solid in goal making a number of quality saves whilst Alex worked hard up top with some great link up play.

No game this weekend, we are back in action 28th April V Walker in the last game of the season!

1-1 at a Windy Denton Dene 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

A penalty for each team meant the game ended all square but another game where our lads showed great character and didn’t give up.

Going 1-0 down early doors, the lads battled away in the awful conditions and finally got there reward with an equalising penalty converted by captain Dave.

A draw was probably a fair result and coaches were proud of the lads.

Coaches POTM went to Sambo who was quality down the left. Worked hard defensively but going forward was an absolute handful. On the end of some strong tackles too but jumped up and went again. Well done Sam!

What an achievement for our midfield maestro Hudson! ⚽️🙌

We are proud to share that after putting in some seriously impressive shifts this season, Hudson has been invited by NUFC to join their Shadow Squad!

It’s one thing to have talent, but it’s another to have the drive Hudson shows week in and week out. 💪🏼
