FLAMINGO LAND U11 CHAMPIONS OF THE WEEKEND! 🏆

What a weekend !! Every player contributed to the win, and more importantly, their behavior throughout the weekend was spot on.

They represented the club well, showing great sportsmanship during the matches and conducting themselves brilliantly around the park.

The boys put in a solid shift during their games:

• Played 7, Won 7
• Stats: 45 goals scored and 0 conceded
• Result: U11 Cup Winners

It wasn't just about the football, our families all had a brilliant time together, making the most of the weekend away! ☀️ 🍺 💃 🎢

A special mention goes to Alex, who was voted player of the tournament, awarded by the referees, well deserved for a great shift.

Well done to all the lads and thanks to the parents for making it such an enjoyable trip. 💙❤️

3 points to the Monty boys.

A clean sheet and the win for the lads on a fine Tuesday night at Denton Dene.

South Shields came to battle and as per brought with them some great football so it was always going to be a tough game however the monty boys stuck at it and ground out a 1-0 win courtesy of the match winner Hudson.

Coaches POTM was split between Joey and Alex. Joey was solid in goal making a number of quality saves whilst Alex worked hard up top with some great link up play.

No game this weekend, we are back in action 28th April V Walker in the last game of the season!

1-1 at a Windy Denton Dene 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

A penalty for each team meant the game ended all square but another game where our lads showed great character and didn’t give up.

Going 1-0 down early doors, the lads battled away in the awful conditions and finally got there reward with an equalising penalty converted by captain Dave.

A draw was probably a fair result and coaches were proud of the lads.

Coaches POTM went to Sambo who was quality down the left. Worked hard defensively but going forward was an absolute handful. On the end of some strong tackles too but jumped up and went again. Well done Sam!

We are proud to share that after putting in some seriously impressive shifts this season, Hudson has been invited by NUFC to join their Shadow Squad!

It’s one thing to have talent, but it’s another to have the drive Hudson shows week in and week out. 💪🏼

Sunday saw Denton Dene play host to a frustrating but lively 1–1 draw as the lads faced off against league leaders Crammy Reds.

Despite a good performance displaying relentless pressure and hitting the woodwork on three separate occasions, the team found themselves trailing 1–0 at the break, which felt undeserved.

Refusing to let their heads drop, the lads started the second half with intensity and eventually clawed back a goal through a fantastic strike from Theo assisted by Alex 🙌🏻

Although the work rate and collective effort were world-class until the final whistle, the winning goal remained elusive, leaving the squad with a hard-earned point.

Coaches POTM went to Layton who was brilliant again with his defensive work. A real pain for the opposition attack!

Monty Blues win the club derby. 💙

A strong start from the lads had the whites defending from the off and followed that with a great corner delivery from Theo & a bullet header from Archie to open the scoring in a tight 1st half with both teams trying to play football on a difficult pitch.

Second half was more of a battle with good chances at both ends but the boys remained a unit, seen the game through and got the win!

Coaches POTM went to the whole team as they were all bang up for it from the get go and got the job done as a solid little group !

Sunday - Away to City Sparta

The Monty boys gave it 110% away at City Sparta however a late goal denied them all 3 points.

Sparta came at us fast and took an early lead but a fantastic free kick by wor Theooo drew the game level just before half time which concluded a quality first half from both sides.

Second half started in the same fashion, chances at both ends until a great team move involving Archie and Theo resulted in an excellent finish by Alex.

The boys looked to have done enough however a late questionable corner provided an equaliser for the Sparta lads and the fixture finished a draw. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

Top effort from both sides - A proper game of football which was enjoyable to watch! 🤌🏻

Coaches POTM went to Alex who worked tirelessly pressing and got his reward with a lovely goal. 💥

UP THE MONTY!!

An excellent all round display from the lads away at Crammy Juniors.

Defensively solid and dangerous in the attack the lads were bang up for this one. A proper team display and win.

Goals from Archie and Theo did the job with a well deserved clean sheet too.

POTM went to Joey whose handling was perfect, kicking was brilliant and made one outstanding save near the end to keep the clean sheet. Well done Wor Joe 💙🤯
