Whenever I host a Rocket workshop or pop-up, I always get people asking me:
“Do you think I’d be able to do it?”
“I’m not that strong.”
“I’m not flexible enough.”
“I’ve never done Rocket before.”
My answer is always YES!
Because honestly, that’s the beauty of Rocket.
You really can take what you need from the practice. Every Chaturanga can be modified. You can do as little of the arm balances and inversions as you want. And flexibility? That comes with time, patience and practice.
You don’t have to be “good at yoga” to come to Rocket. You don’t need to be super strong or bendy. And you definitely don’t need to have done it before.
Everyone is welcome in this Rocket community and you’d probably surprise yourself with what you’re capable of when you actually give it a go.
My favourite response when someone tells me they’re not sure they could manage two hours is:
“If my mom, who does no yoga, can do two hours of Rocket… so can you!” 😂
And honestly, she can!
I try to host as many Rocket pop-ups and workshops as I can alongside my weekly classes, and one of my favourite things is seeing this little community grow every time.
People coming along for their first Rocket practice, coming back for more, trying something they never thought they could do, and having a bit of fun along the way.
So if you’ve been thinking “I don’t think Rocket is for me…”
Maybe come and prove yourself wrong. 🚀
