⚽️ MASTERING THE BALL. 🪄

These types of techniques can feel really awkward at first… but that’s often where the real development happens. 👀

Challenging ourselves to try new movements, manipulate the ball in different ways and add new techniques to our locker is a huge part of becoming a more confident, creative and well rounded player. 🧠⚡️

It won’t always look perfect straight away keep practising, keep experimenting and keep mastering the ball. 🔥

Oh… and Charlie’s ball striking isn’t looking too bad either. 😳🎯

Repeat them, master them… and you MIGHT become as good as Henry at them! 😂👏

These actions happen time and time again in a football match, so being able to execute them quickly, efficiently and consistently is vital. 🎯

The basics might not always look exciting, but mastering them is what gives players the tools to perform at a higher level. 🚀

There’s no easy route to progress. 📈⚽️

It’s a combination of good coaching 🧠, players who WANT to learn 👀 and, most importantly, children who are willing to give everything they have every single session. 💯

🎯 Progress over perfection.

There’s nothing “perfect” about this video but there’s progress, focus and purposeful coaching. 👏⚽️

A lot of the best coaching comes from simply watching. 👀

Set up the practice, let the player work, and really observe how they move through the drill. Then ask yourself:

👉 Is there anything I can help them with?

If the answer is yes, give them that detail, let them take it on board, and then repeat the practice again and again. 🔁

The difference is that now you’re adding small details each time, helping the player understand, improve and take their reps to the next level. 📈

The moral of the story? Focused coaching + players willing to take on information and apply it = progress. 💯

And for us coaches, being able to watch young players have those little moments of understanding and improvement is without doubt one of the most rewarding parts of coaching. ❤️⚽️
