⚽ FULL-TIME | FC 41 U13s 2–2 City of Stoke Devils U13s 🔴⚫

The boys remain UNBEATEN this season after a hard-fought 2–2 draw in a game where both sides battled right until the final whistle.

We got off to the perfect start, with Nedas Kocerauskas putting us ahead inside the opening five minutes with a superb strike into the far corner. 🔥

After some sloppy play, we gave the ball away cheaply and FC 41 punished us to level the game at 1–1.

We responded brilliantly, with Daniel Goold providing his second assist of the game as Nedas finished superbly over the keeper to grab his second of the afternoon. ⚽⚽

Half-time: FC 41 1–2 City of Stoke Devils

The second half was a frustrating one for us. The ball just wouldn’t fall for us, and we struggled to get into our usual rhythm. Credit to FC 41, who worked tremendously hard, disrupted our game and never stopped battling.

Their efforts were rewarded with an equaliser with around 10 minutes remaining.

We’re disappointed not to come away with all three points, but full credit to FC 41 for the way they battled and fought for everything.

⚽️⚽️: Nedas Kocerauskas
🏆 Man of the Match: Nedas Kocerauskas
⭐ Player of the Match: Daniel Goold

Most importantly, the unbeaten run continues! 💪🔴⚫

Blythe Bridge Lions 1 - 4 CÖS Devils 🖤❤️⚽️

Well, what a game, boys! 👏

That makes it 4 wins from 4 games and puts us into the next round of the cup! 🏆

Brilliant from start to finish, and me, Rob and Wayne couldn’t be any prouder of every single one of you. ❤️

Nedas got us off to the perfect start when, like all good strikers do, he followed in on a free kick after the keeper spilled it and tucked it away nicely. ⚽️

Leo then scored a brilliant long-range effort to make it 2-0 at half-time. What a strike! 🔥

Blythe kept going in the second half, but some superb defending, especially from Harry, saw us keep them at bay.

Leo then grabbed himself another long-range effort, with the keeper having absolutely no chance! ⚽️⚽️

Blythe did manage to get themselves a goal to make it a tense finish, but with just 2 minutes left on the clock, up stepped George! 👀

A half-volley from the edge of the area was absolutely smashed into the top corner, off the bar and in! 🚀🔥

Some absolutely fantastic goals today, and all three of those long-range efforts could definitely be contenders for Goal of the Season! 😍

🏆 Parents’ MOTM – Leo 👏

Ran his socks off, played some great football and scored 2 brilliant goals. Fully deserved! ❤️

🏆 Managers’ POTW – Harry 👏

Some superb defending, really strong in the tackle, and those slide challenges were on point!

And controlling a ball out of the air like prime Ronaldinho… unbelievable! 🇧🇷😂

The scoreline probably doesn’t tell the full story, as we created enough chances to have put the game well beyond doubt, but the most important thing was another three points and a fantastic team performance.

We started brightly and it wasn’t long before Ned ⚽, our very own fox in the box, opened the scoring. After a huge throw from the new Rory Delap — George — was flicked on, Ned was in the right place at the right time to finish and put us 1–0 up.

The second came from another fantastic delivery from George. Harry ⚽ rose like a salmon out of water and powered his header into the net to double our advantage.

Unfortunately, Stone Dominoes pulled one back after an offside decision was missed by the linesman — sack the linesman! 😂 — despite the best efforts of Blaine, who once again showed how much he has developed. Most importantly, he has finally found his voice on the pitch! Keep shouting, Blaine! 👏

We regained control and eventually put the game to bed through Kaiden ⚽, or as we like to call him, the new David Beckham! A fantastic strike from outside the box flew into the net to make it 3–1.

Every single player deserves huge credit today. The effort, attitude and teamwork were excellent, and honestly, everyone could have walked away with either the Parents’ Choice Award or Man of the Match.

But we had to pick one for each…

🏆 Man of the Match – Tyler

A very well-deserved award. Tyler is really starting to find his way after spending most of his footballing time in the nets, and today he was strong throughout in midfield. A fantastic performance.

👏 Parents’ Choice – Harry

Another excellent performance. Harry was solid at the back, worked hard throughout and could easily have added another two goals to his tally.

This win keeps us firmly rooted at the top of the table, and, worryingly for everyone else, we genuinely believe this team is only going to get stronger as the season goes on! Who knows what kind of scorelines we might be seeing later in the season! 😜

Congratulations to every single one of the boys. Wayne and I were incredibly proud of you all today.

Keep working hard, keep enjoying your football and let’s keep this going!

🔴⚫ CÖS DEVILS 6 - 2 UNITY FC ⚫🔴

A brilliant win for the boys this morning, following up last week’s victory with another impressive performance and showing just how much this group is progressing. 💪⚽️

Nedas got us off to the perfect start, bursting forward and putting us 1-0 up. Unity responded well and created some really good chances of their own, and we could feel they were going to get themselves back into the game sooner or later.

That moment came after a corner was delivered into the box and only half-cleared to the edge, where a Unity player brilliantly looped the ball over Blaine to make it 1-1.

But the boys didn’t let that knock them off their stride. We soon asserted our dominance again, with Kaiden producing a lovely free kick over the keeper to put us back in front. Then Nedas was at it again, bursting down the right before delivering a delicious ball across the face of goal. It took a deflection off a Unity player and found the net — but there was absolutely no doubt about it… that one’s Ned’s! 😂⚽️

Just moments before the half-time whistle, Unity were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box. It was fired towards goal with some real force, and Blaine did brilliantly to make the initial save. Unfortunately, the onrushing attackers reacted quickest and tucked away the rebound.

We went into HT 3-2 up.

The second half saw us really take control of the game. Jack Anderson was incredible, defending strongly and setting the standard for those around him. That defensive work had a real knock-on effect, with the whole team stepping up and showing exactly the same desire and determination.

And, just like last week, we finished the game incredibly strongly.

Deus broke down the left not once, but twice, and on both occasions produced superb finishes into the keeper’s bottom-left corner. Two fantastic goals! 🔥⚽️⚽️

To round things off, Kaiden grabbed his second of the morning, receiving the ball on the right edge of the box before finishing with real venom past the keeper and into the bottom corner.

6-2. Game over. 👏

It was another all-round brilliant performance from the boys, with some fantastic football, excellent goals and some really strong individual performances right across the pitch.

⭐ MAN OF THE MATCH

This was a seriously difficult one to pick, especially with three lads scoring a brace each and so many strong performances throughout the team.

But Jack Anderson was absolutely superb today. His defending, determination and attitude were outstanding, and he genuinely seems to be getting better and better every single week.

Fully deserved, Jack! 👏🏆

As we come to the end of another fantastic season for our U12s team, I just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone involved ❤️🖤

Firstly, to every single player — thank you for your hard work, commitment, determination and attitude throughout the season. Watching you all develop, improve and grow together as a team has been an absolute pleasure. You should all be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved this year, both individually and collectively. The effort, teamwork and character you’ve shown week in, week out has been outstanding 👏⚽️

A massive thank you also goes to all of the parents and families for the incredible support you’ve shown throughout the season towards myself, Wayne and Rob. Having supportive, encouraging and positive parents behind the team makes such a huge difference, and it certainly doesn’t go unnoticed. Your support on matchdays, at training, and throughout the entire season has helped create such a brilliant environment for the boys to enjoy their football and continue developing both on and off the pitch. We genuinely appreciate every single one of you 🙏

A special thank you to Charlotte for organising and collecting all of the bonding day money — your help has been greatly appreciated and has taken a big job off our hands 👍

An enormous thank you also goes to Tammy for everything she does behind the scenes. From sorting kits, organising bonding day events, arranging gifts and helping with all the jobs that many people don’t always get to see, your contribution to the team is absolutely invaluable. On a personal note, thank you for all the support you give me as my wife throughout the season. Your patience, encouragement and constant help are truly appreciated more than words can say ❤️🙏

We would also like to thank The City of Stoke Chairman, Leigh Robinson, Vice Chairman Simon Day, and all of the volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to help run our fantastic community club. Grassroots football simply wouldn’t exist without the hard work and dedication of people like yourselves, and we are incredibly proud to represent and be part of such a brilliant club 👏❤️🖤

After a long and enjoyable season, it’s now time for everyone to enjoy a well-earned few weeks of rest, recharge the batteries, reset, and then we go again in July ready for another exciting season ahead 💪🏻⚽️

Looking forward to seeing you all at the awards nights 🏆👏
