So today, I (and the students) had the pleasure of listening to the former & player, speak about Mental Health - very apt in the month of November, with the Movember campaign making big movements and causing awareness to all areas of Men’s Health.
Dan was super honest, vulnerable, very raw at times and showed that it’s okay for a Man to feel that way and to be free (from judgment) in showing emotion.
Breaking down barriers, stereotypes and the stigma that can sometimes be attached to fellas opening up.
What I took from the talk is that, yes, it’s important to have external goals, but most importantly, you need to be internally happy - so lads, if you are feeling a certain way, remember you are not alone and that there is always support available.
Seek professional guidance or speak to a friend, but please: speak to someone.
I’m no expert in this, but I am always open for a chat too!

The end of an era…
All good things must come to an end; and although technically not ending, the building is being knocked down and the gym will continue in a new location.
Had some of the best times in that gym and met some friends for life.
I even trained in there on the day of my wedding!
I lived the dream and trained with the pros for a time, an experience for which I am forever grateful.
I wish and the team all the best in their new location! 💚🥊🫶🏻

“Unattainable” They literally got in that shape.
It’s fully attainable.
Is it hard? Yes.
Is it realistic to look like that all year around?
Probably not.

But the fact is, getting in that shape is achievable:
it just takes a lot of dedication, discipline and determination.

Saturday morning circuit and Hill Spints boxed!
Trying something new (or that I haven’t done for a while)
I’m still doing my 4 lifting days, but of a Saturday morning it’ll be circuits and hill sprints.
Tyres, ropes, kettle bells, planks etc
More functional type stuff!
Let’s see where it goes… 💪🏻

Back from a brilliant seminar with the legend that is Lee Priest. A pleasure to listen to his tales and takes on arguably the peak bodybuilding era.
One of the best physiques ever back in his day.
