💙 We are incredibly proud to have been part of The Orme Academy’s Careers Programme this half term.

At MJDC, we are passionate about giving young people a genuine insight into the performing arts industry, helping them explore creative career pathways and understand the opportunities available within dance and the wider arts sector.

It was a pleasure to work with the students, share our experiences, and hopefully inspire the next generation of performers, teachers, choreographers, and industry professionals.

A huge thank you to The Orme Academy for inviting us to be involved alongside so many fantastic organisations. We look forward to continuing to support young people in discovering their passions and future careers.

We are soooo proud of all the dancers today!! 💖🌟

Honestly, they were amazing both on and off stage, true professionals! The feedback from the audience has been incredible, and we are so grateful to everyone who has taken the time to message and comment on the show today. It really does mean so much to us 🫶

A massive Thank you to The Team at CHANCE2DANCE - we are so proud to be one of the first dance studios to perform at the new venue with you! The ICC was a treat today!!

A HUGE thank you to all our amazing chaperones too!! There were sooo many steps today 😅 and backstage timings were super quick between routines. Alongside costume and makeup changes, we also had rehearsals happening in another space, so it really was a very fast turnaround all day 😅 We are so grateful to every single one of you!!

Thank you as well to all the parents who support their dancers in doing events like these. We genuinely could not do them without you, and we are so proud and thankful for all the support we receive at every event, especially today 💖 We hope the early start was worth it!!

And finally, thank you to all the performers for all their hard work in classes, rehearsals, backstage, and onstage. You are all a true credit to MJDC and we are SO proud of every single one of you!!! 🌟

A huge congratulations to our amazing dancers, Seb B and Everleigh B, who have both been nominated for the IDTA Street Dance Scholarships following their recent exams! 🌟

The IDTA Street Dance Scholarships recognise dancers who have shown exceptional talent, technique, performance and potential during their exams. Being nominated means they’ve truly stood out to the examiner - a massive achievement in itself! They will go and compete at the first event in May! 💥

Your hard work, commitment and passion have not gone unnoticed, and we couldn’t be prouder of you both!!

🤣HAPPY 1ST APRIL🤣

🚨 IMPORTANT STUDIO UPDATE 🚨

Following new guidance from the International Dance Standards Authority (IDSA), we will be implementing the following rules with immediate effect:

🩰 All pirouettes must now finish facing true North
📏 Splits will be measured with a ruler – anything under 180° will be classified as “a suggestion”
🎭 Facial expressions must be submitted in advance for approval
🎶 Dancers requesting “just one more time” will now be granted… exactly one more time (no negotiations)
💨 Leaps must achieve “noticeable hang time” or will be repeated until flight is confirmed

In addition:
• Any dancer saying “I can’t” will automatically be signed up for 3 extra turns + 50 burpees.

We appreciate your cooperation as we continue striving for absolute dance perfection.
