What a magical day celebrating 70 years of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Buckingham Palace this afternoon. It was a truly special day, meeting so many young people who have completed their Gold Awards. As Dame Kelly Holmes MBE said, this is a remarkable achievement and “little wins stack up, and they build self belief and self belief can take you further than you could ever dream”
A huge well done to everyone here who has completed their bronze, silver and gold awards. It takes confidence and determination to challenge yourself, stretch your comfort zones and especially for all of our participants who are often completing their expedition independently of people they already know and are friends with. For anyone completing their expedition with us this summer, we look forward to meeting you all and supporting your DofE journey.
