⚽ NEWBURY MONDAY NIGHT 6-A-SIDE LEAGUE MATCH REPORT – 9TH JUNE 2026 ⚽

Another excellent evening of 6-a-side football in Newbury saw goals, clean sheets and some important victories across all three divisions as teams continue to battle for league positions.

🏆 PREMIERSHIP

5MOKE SQUAD produced a strong performance to secure a convincing 5-1 victory over YND FC, making a real statement with one of the standout wins of the night.

ONLY PUT MATIP IN continued their impressive form with a professional 3-0 win against CROUCH POTATOES, keeping a clean sheet whilst taking all three points.

Meanwhile, 2 GIRLS 1 SCHLUPP edged past ASANTE KOTOKO S.C with a solid 2-0 victory in another disciplined display that saw them leave with maximum points.

🥈 CHAMPIONSHIP

The Championship was packed with tight contests and narrow margins.

CURRIDGE SKINS claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over BERKSHIRELONA in a game where defences were firmly on top.

DYSLEXIA UNTIED followed suit with a 2-0 win against THREE TUNS INSIDE HER, producing a composed performance at both ends of the pitch.

The closest game of the division saw AFC NORTHCROFT come away with a valuable 2-1 win over SAKA POTATOES after an entertaining and competitive encounter.

🥉 LEAGUE ONE

THE RUSSELL SPROUTZ started the evening strongly with a 2-0 success against RENFORD REJECTS, securing an important clean sheet victory.

TEKKERSLOVAKIA matched that scoreline later in the night, defeating PHEASANT PLUCKERS 2-0 with another assured display.

LALLANAS IN PYJAMAS picked up a deserved 3-1 win over HYPNOTISING SMOKE BOYS, while the result of the night came from THATCHAM TOWN RESERVES, who ran riot in a dominant 6-0 victory against MADELINE MILAN.

Newbury 6-a-Side Match Report
Monday 1st June 2026

It was another lively evening of 6-a-side football in Newbury, with goals flying in across all three divisions and some standout performances lighting up the night.

Premiership

Crouch Potatoes delivered the statement result of the night, powering past YND FC with an emphatic 8-3 victory. A ruthless attacking display saw them dominate from start to finish, putting themselves firmly in the spotlight.

Asante Kotoko S.C also impressed, securing a convincing 6-2 win over Only Put Matip In. Clinical finishing and sharp movement proved too much for their opponents to handle.

Meanwhile, 5moke Squad picked up a solid 3-0 win against 2 Girls 1 Schlup. A controlled and disciplined performance ensured they walked away with all three points.

Championship

Berkshirelona edged past AFC Northcroft in an entertaining contest, winning 4-2 thanks to a strong attacking display.

Curridge Skins ground out a narrow 1-0 victory over Dyslexia Untied in a tight and hard-fought match where defences were on top.

Saka Potatoes were in fine form, comfortably beating Three Tuns Inside Her 5-1, showcasing their attacking quality and finishing ability.

League One

Madeline Milan and Lallanas in Pyjamas played out the game of the evening, sharing the spoils in a thrilling 4-4 draw packed with end-to-end action.

The Russell Sproutz produced the most dominant performance in League One, storming to a 6-0 win over Hypnotising Smoke Boys in a one-sided affair.

Thatcham Town Reserves claimed a solid 2-0 victory against Tekkerslovakia, keeping things tight at the back while taking their chances well.

Pheasant Pluckers rounded off the division with a 2-0 win over Renford Rejects, securing a well-earned clean sheet and three points.

Newbury 6-a-Side League Match Report – 18 May 2026
Premiership

The Premiership produced goals, drama, and a statement result as ONLY PUT MATIP IN delivered the performance of the night with a ruthless 9-1 demolition of YND FC. From the opening whistle, Matip’s men were relentless in attack, carving through the YND defence with quick passing and clinical finishing. YND FC struggled to contain the pressure and found themselves overwhelmed by wave after wave of attacks as ONLY PUT MATIP IN laid down a serious marker in the title race.

ASANTE KOTOKO S.C secured an impressive 3-1 victory over 5MOKE SQUAD in a fiercely contested clash. ASANTE KOTOKO showed composure in possession and took their chances at key moments, while 5MOKE SQUAD fought hard throughout but could not find the consistency needed to claw their way back into the game. The win keeps ASANTE KOTOKO firmly in the hunt near the top of the table.

In the evening’s final Premiership fixture, 2 GIRLS 1 SCHLUPP earned a deserved 4-2 win against CROUCH POTATOES. It was an entertaining encounter packed with attacking football from both sides, but 2 GIRLS 1 SCHLUPP proved sharper in front of goal and managed the game well in the closing stages to secure all three points.

Championship

The Championship opened with a tightly fought battle between BERKSHIRELONA and DYSLEXIA UNTIED, with the sides sharing the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Neither team could fully take control in a match full of momentum swings, and both sides had chances to sn**ch a winner late on. In the end, a point apiece was probably a fair reflection of a competitive contest.

AFC NORTHCROFT produced one of the standout attacking displays of the evening as they stormed to a convincing 6-2 victory over THREE TUNS INSIDE HER. NORTHCROFT were clinical throughout, punishing defensive mistakes and moving the ball brilliantly in transition. THREE TUNS INSIDE HER showed flashes of quality but ultimately could not cope with the relentless attacking threat.

CURRIDGE SKINS continued their strong form with a solid 3-1 win over SAKA POTATOES. CURRIDGE SKINS controlled large periods of the match and looked dangerous every time they moved forward. SAKA POTATOES battled hard and managed to stay in contention for much of the game, but CURRIDGE SKINS always seemed to have another gear when needed.

League One

League One kicked off with RENFORD REJECTS claiming a comfortable 4-1 victory over MADELINE MILAN. RENFORD REJECTS looked organised from the outset and made the most of their opportunities in front of goal, while MADELINE MILAN struggled to recover after conceding early.

TEKKERSLOVAKIA and THE RUSSELL SPROUTZ played out a closely contested 1-1 draw in a game where chances were limited but the intensity remained high throughout. Both sides defended resolutely and neither could find the decisive breakthrough in the second half.

One of the most entertaining matches of the night saw LALLANAS IN PYJAMAS edge THATCHAM TOWN RESERVES 4-3 in a thrilling end-to-end encounter. The lead changed hands several times in a match packed with quality finishes and attacking intent. In the end, LALLANAS IN PYJAMAS held their nerve in the closing moments to secure a dramatic victory.

The final game of the evening delivered plenty of goals as PHEASANT PLUCKERS defeated HYPNOTISING SMOKE BOYS 6-3. PHEASANT PLUCKERS were in inspired form in attack, showing excellent movement and finishing throughout the match. HYPNOTISING SMOKE BOYS contributed to an entertaining spectacle but were unable to keep pace with their opponents’ firepower.

Result of the Night

ONLY PUT MATIP IN’s emphatic 9-1 victory over YND FC takes the honours for Result of the Night after a dominant display that sent a clear message to the rest of the Premiership.

Match of the Night

THATCHAM TOWN RESERVES 3-4 LALLANAS IN PYJAMAS earns Match of the Night honours after a dramatic seven-goal thriller packed with twists, quality attacking football, and a tense finish.

Team of the Night

AFC NORTHCROFT deserve special recognition after an outstanding attacking performance in their 6-2 win, combining pace, movement, and clinical finishing throughout the contest.

Newbury 6-a-Side League Match Report — 11 May 2026
Premiership

The Premiership delivered a mix of dominant displays and tightly contested battles as the league table continued to take shape under the lights in Newbury.

7-1

The standout performance of the evening came from 2 Girls 1 Schlup, who produced a ruthless attacking display to dismantle YND FC 7-1. Clinical finishing and relentless pressure proved too much for YND, with the winners racing clear early and never easing off. It was a statement victory that will certainly catch the attention of the rest of the division.

1-1

There was little to separate 5Moke Squad and Only Put Matip In in one of the closest contests of the night. Both sides showed discipline defensively and created chances at either end, but neither could find the decisive breakthrough. A point apiece was probably a fair reflection of a hard-fought encounter.

3-1

Asante Kotoko S.C continued their strong form with an assured 3-1 victory over Crouch Potatoes. After a competitive opening spell, Kotoko took control through composed possession and efficient finishing. Crouch Potatoes battled throughout but were unable to recover after falling behind.

The Championship produced goals, drama, and one of the games of the evening as teams battled for valuable points.

In the match of the night, Saka Potatoes edged an extraordinary 6-5 thriller against Berkshirelona. The lead changed hands multiple times in a frantic end-to-end contest packed with attacking football. Berkshirelona looked to have rescued a point late on, only for Saka Potatoes to sn**ch a dramatic winner in the closing moments.

Dyslexia Untied and AFC Northcroft shared the spoils after an evenly balanced 2-2 draw. Both teams enjoyed spells of control and showed quality going forward, but neither side could fully gain the upper hand. A competitive and entertaining clash ended with honours even.

Curridge Skins came through a tense battle to secure a narrow 4-3 victory over Three Tuns Inside Her. Goals flowed throughout, with the sides trading momentum repeatedly. Curridge ultimately held their nerve in the closing stages to seal an important win in another high-scoring Championship encounter.

League One

League One featured several tightly contested matches alongside an impressive attacking performance from Tekkerslovakia.

Tekkerslovakia opened the evening in style with a commanding 4-1 win over Hypnotising Smoke Boys. Sharp movement and clinical finishing helped them control proceedings from start to finish, while their defence remained organised whenever called upon.

Thatcham Town Reserves secured a hard-earned 2-1 victory against Renford Rejects in a closely fought affair. With little between the teams for much of the match, Thatcham showed greater composure in key moments to take all three points.
