🏁 Race weekend — two very different days!

Saturday: ⚡️ LIGHTNING.
Lap record smashed. Clean sweep of finishes. Purples all day. 💜🔥
Ran off track and pushed back in final but still took the win by over 5s!

Sunday: 💩 S**T SHOW.

A day totally compromised by others. Drivers’ choices on track led to a chaotic race day, huge amounts of time wasted and, ultimately, no final being run — massively impacting any opportunity to recover.

H2: DNF after damage.
H3: 8th → 1st 🏆
Final heat: 20th → 4th on track, before a 5-second nose penalty after two karts ahead tangled and one was wiped across the front dropping the nose.

So frustrating, because the pace was clearly there.

Would have started 15th in the final and, given his display of speed and race craft, could easily have turned that into a positive outcome.

It’s a real shame this year’s SC plate won’t be awarded based on a win, but simply given. Oh well!

And you have to wonder… if it had simply come down to speed, overtaking and ability rather than surviving everyone else’s decisions, what might have been? 👀

NKC Round 4 - Shenington

Not the weekend we had hoped for, but that’s motorsport! 🤷‍♂️

Packed with issues and, at times, complete mayhem.

From the B Final to P12 in the A Final was a decent recovery. It’s a shame all the issues meant we lost our setup direction and were just lacking that little bit extra. 💨

National Kart Cup
NKC Round 2 - Rowrah ✔️🏆
Race report

Second time ever visiting Rowrah… and straight into the deep end after missing Friday practice because apparently “exams are important” 🙄📚

Rolled out Saturday and somehow went straight to the top of the timing screens. Even the weather threw a surprise at us — Cumbria delivered sunshine instead of the expected Noah’s Ark conditions ☀️

Tried the race engine in final practice and discovered it had decided to take the weekend off, so Engine #2 got the call-up for Sunday 👊 Wright power!

Heat results:
H1: P5 ➡️ P1
H3: P17 ➡️ P4 on track… then P14 after a penalty for being in the wrong postcode when two karts checked up in front of me 😅
H4: P25 ➡️ P7 — calm, calculated and a lot less dramatic.

That gave me P5 for the final.

For the first time ever, we completely changed the kart setup before the final. Slightly risky considering we’d already been quickest all weekend… but if you’re going to gamble, might as well do it properly 🤷‍♂️

Adapted quickly, worked my way into P1 and managed to pull away for the win 🏁

🟣Multiple fastest laps across the weekend, including the event fastest lap, and a win at a track I’d only been to once before back in 2023 — definitely one to remember. 💨

Massive thanks to Dad (Alec Rosier), Roalf Racing for the setup advice, and Wright Racing Engines - Full Throttle for the power all weekend.
When all four of us are pulling in the same direction, good things happen.
Truly appreciate the faith you have in me.
