Fiona Hobby Equestrian Coaching Fiona Hobby is a professional showjumping and eventing coach. She has also competed successfully at 5*level herself.

Fiona has regularly coached at every level of Youth Teams helping students to win medals from Ponies through to Young Riders.

We have space to take on a couple of new clients for coaching.

All levels welcome. We are very focused on producing well trained horses and riders, working on technique and long term goals for those who are really keen to succeed. Also well known for building confidence and self belief in the rider.

Just back from a great few days in Barbados helping to prepare for the BEA Independence Day Eventing Challenge. 🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧

It was such a pleasure to meet so many great riders and horses, and then to see them smashing it in competition, some of them having their first experience of eventing!

It was great to be a part of the exceptional team that put this on at Whitehall Eeuestrian Centre.

Huge thanks to Monique Archer for inviting me out there and well done for a fantastic competition!! 🤩🇧🇧🤩🇧🇧🤩

The favourite part of what I do is taking a young inexperienced rider and working with them in the hope of helping them achieve at least some of their dreams.

I am so proud of Thomas Worsley for getting Selected to jump in the Nations Cup Final at Lier. 3 years ago Jo and Thomas came for a lesson & told me of their aspirations so we all worked hard together and this year has been the result. Even more special that he did it on a horse we have produced from a 6 yr old!

Well done Thomas and team, it’s been a fun journey and this is only the beginning!!! Also a big thank you to Chedington Equestrian for looking after the gorgeous Tumble so well too. 🙏🙏

Also lovely to watch Tallulah, who ‘flew the nest’ a while ago, doing so well looking absolutely class and jumping clear every day on the YR Team! 🙌🙌🙌

I’m not great on social media but just a little update on what’s been going on:

What a year!! Here’s a few highlights…

⭐️Thomas Worsley & Tumblegum were picked for two Children on Horses Nations Cups! Coming 2nd individually in Hagen and then shortlisted for the Europeans!

⭐️Emily Irvine & Runard Lass, winning almost every day at Chard International were then picked for the Nations Cup in Zuidewolde!

⭐️Bee Cerrutti finished top ten every day at Global Champions Tour in London, including a 3rd on day one & a 4th on day 3! Absolutely amazing results at for the first time such a huge venue!

⭐️Darcy Evans, who is just starting her BS journey won her first rug at her first ever POYS, lots more to come from this young lady!

⭐️Ruby Cooke, who I worked with all last winter into this summer, mainly on her flatwork, has had a fantastic year culminating in landing an amazing riding job! We are sad to see her go but delighted and can’t wait to see her progress.

⭐️And our own Arthur Hobby, who won 4 1m30’s back to back earlier in the year followed by a 1st, 2nd and 4th at Chard International & 7th in the 1* GP at Bolesworth International!

There have been many more successes this year for so many lovely clients that I can’t list them all! It’s such a pleasure to help young people achieve their goals/dreams.

With a few now successfully flying the nest there is now a bit of space for up and coming, ambitious young riders of all levels! Please do get in touch!

A great day at Hartpury yesterday with a 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th! Just missing a 3rd place!! Well done Bee, Thomas and Oscar! Next stop HOYS and then the Sunshine Tour! Here’s our lovely Elsa popping round for a bit of fun in the 1m30 🙌🙌🙌🙌
