Newbury RFC encourages participation in Rugby at all ages and levels. Touch Rugby is the non-contact format of the game, providing the perfect environment to hone your rugby skills and fitness, or to just have fun and keep fit. It also allows mixed participation in a way not possible in other formats of the game. We encourage a wide range of participants, men and women, from skilled rugby players
in their teens or 20's looking to stay fit, veteran players in their 40's/50's who wish their body still performed like it used to, through to novices of all ages who fancy giving the game a try. Our informal friendly atmosphere and enjoyment or the game makes a great combination. We train twice a week in a very informal way, just turn up, choose a side and play! We work out balanced teams of around 8-10 a side, depending on who turns up for a given session. If you're not sure about fitness, you can decide drop out when you're tired. MEMBERSHIP:
After a couple of trial sessions, you need to become a member of Newbury Rugby Club at the most basic membership rate of around £60 per year. If you already have a minis or Juniors membership for a child, you are able to play Touch under the same membership. Given we train a about 100 sessions a year, that's less than £1 per session!
