Thank you!! It's super important to me that I thank everyone who took the time to vote in this year's Muddy Stilettos | Berkshire awards.

Last year I scooped the title, this year I scooped finalist - and I am chuffed to bits, because the outpouring of support was every bit as strong.

This is your reminder to always aim high, and always dream big - my win is in the people I help every day and the community around me, so thank you for being here, I appreciate you all.

Huge congrats to all the wonderful independant businesses who were part of this years awards.

We rock 🤘

3 reasons this mum is so happy - she joined my Power of 15 membership and discovered that:

- movement is medicine
- 15 minutes a day is enough. No overwhelm, no expensive gym memberships, just the ability to get it done
- you dont have to put up with not feeling your best.

If you'd love to feel the same, Power of 15 is for you. It's a simple formula, which is why it works:

- 3 x 15 min workouts each week
- Weekly accountability check ins
- Weekly health & motivational talks

Fitness doesnt need to be any more complicated than that, we just sometimes need the reminder and a little support along the way.

Comment POWER below and I'll send you the details. No ongoing membership commitment, join when you like for as long as you like, and start to feel like you again.

Since a little surgery last week, I've been focusing on eating MORE. More nourishment, more colour, more of what my body needs.

🥩 Protein for repair
🌈 Colour for nutrients, minerals and antioxidants
🥣 Greek yoghurt & fermented foods for gut health
🫘 Fibre for digestion
🌿 Greens for extra support
✨ Collagen & Vit C in unison for recovery
🍯 Manuka honey for healing
🍫 Dark chocolate for the yums & for iron

Your body is constantly trying to work for you, not against you. The question is: are you giving it the tools it needs?

When life hands you lemons...just add water! 🍋 This week was a curveball - here's how I got from the 1st pic to the 2nd, with a whole lot of chaos in between.

I jokingly took the first photo after setting up class on Tuesday. I was in a world of pain, this was the only position I was comfortable in, and I was contemplating how effective it would be to teach the entire session face down on the mat. 🤪

Fast forward a few hours and my GP had sent me directly to the emergency surgery unit at the John Radcliffe, where I was then transferred to plastic surgery. 🏥

Not exactly the week I had planned, and quite frankly, an utterly dramatic reaction by my body to what they are assuming was an infected insect bite. A dose of antibiotics hadn't worked & a dose of bad luck meant that it turned into a deep and large abcess in a matter of days. 🙄

Here's the thing. I talk about the importance of recovery all the time. But as someone whose entire career is built on movement, not being able to move has been tough. 😬

I also know that being fit isn't just what happens during your workouts, it's what happens in the space between. So I'm following my own advice and nailing recovery in the same way I would a workout plan - fully committed 👊

Plenty of rest. Staying hydrated (water with life's lemons 😉). Nourishing my body with foods that heal. Breathwork, grounding, & visualising how amazingly resilient our bodies are when we allow them to be. And because Ive allowed myself some time to do that, I'm feeling great. 👌

Sure, a little battered and bruised. I've had better weeks. But Im healthy and I trust my body to do what it needs to do. 🫶

Plus, now I have a great story to tell about how I got plastic surgery on my 🍑 (it was actually my thigh, but butt makes for a way better story) 😝

I'm calling the Kingfisher a symbol of eternal optimism. Let me tell you why...

When I turned 40 I wrote “see a kingfisher” on my list of 40 things to do in my 40th year. And I’ve kept my eyes peeled every single time I’ve been on the river since (and I go to the river a lot!). Paddleboarding. Walking. Constantly with the Kingfisher on my mind. For 4 years. I've seen Heron. Kites. Otters. All manner of other widlife, but no Kingfisher.

But that didn't stop me from fully believing that one day I’d see that flash of blue.

And today, it happened.

Right where I was sitting, a sudden streak of electric blue across the water and then he sat in the reeds next to me. Just for a moment, I didn't dare move (I'm pretty sure I even held my breath), and then he was off again.

And then I got emotional. Not because he was so pretty (he was). Not because I could tick it off that 40th list (finally!) But because it just felt like proof of something bigger.

That some things arrive only when they’re ready.
That patience matters, hope matters, and keeping the faith matters.

So don’t stop looking for your Kingfisher.

Whatever that kingfisher is for you - the opportunity, the confidence, the sign, the joy, the new start. It might take longer than you hoped. You might wonder if it’ll ever come.

But then one day, at exactly the right moment…flash 💙
