Well that's a wrap for 2023.
My outdoor coaching was temporary put on hold this year, while I trained hard to fullfil my dream of becoming an Channel Swimmer. It just shows that anything is possible if you train well, and believe you can achieve.
Happy swimming and let's see what 2024 brings...

My open water swimming teaching was sadly put on hold this year. I can't wait to get back to helping people, either starting out in open water or developing your stroke to achieve your full potential. All my spare time has been selfishly used on my own training, to get my body and mind ready to swim the 21 miles across the English Channel to raise funds and awareness of MND.

The chilly breeze didn't stop a few WBOWS turning up at Queenford Lake, this morning. Always swim happy smiles afterwards. 🏊🥶😁

Hoping to have a chilly swim with others, but nature had other ideas. Not even the swans could break through the thick ice, at Basildon.

Keep safe in this cold weather. Ice may look inviting but don't risk it.

RIVER ALERT
More 💩 being pumped out by Thames Water.
Since our draught and getting some rain, Thames Water have released raw sewage from Oxford and Witney plants alone, at least 16 times since 23rd Oct, into our beautiful river Thames.
Shame on them being allowed to pollute our rivers this way 😡

It was lovely to be able to introduce Sammy to the joys of river swimming. Showing off our land marks along a beautiful stretch of water, not forgetting the plastic and real Heron!
I feel the smile says it all. 😁

Not quite my planned 41 mile Round Jersey Swim, which has been blown out, but still a fun consolation swim event, from Green Island to St Helier's Lido. 😁
