The scumbags have been at it again!

This time they decided to bust our new lockers open and new fridges. 😭

Not just bowls clubs but schools and other properties are being targeted so be careful out there and let's hope the next time they target somewhere they meet someone who gives them a good beating.

Devastated to see all the hard work and money we have spent get damaged.

After all the effort our members have done to decorate and make it a more welcoming club this happens.

Thanks to the scumbags that did this 👍🏼

There's never anything valuable to steal from the club and the till is always emptied.

But the worst part of this is one of our younger members had a major stroke last season paralysing him down his right side and taking away his speech, so we have been raising money all season with lots of other clubs contributing for the scum bags to take all the money raised 😭

If anyone knows who could have done this please get in touch.

Today we kicked off our 2nd league game away to Caldicot.

Knowing a long old trip down the M4 was going to be a tough day, but the sun was shining and all the boys was in good spirit heading down and ready to build on last week's result.

Across the board after 18 ends we was in a good position to take the Win with 3 rinks up and 1 down unfortunately 1 rink just lost on the last end making it 2 rinks winning and 2 losing.

Another great performance from our boys away from home picking up 10pts out of a possible 14.

E. Harding lost 25 -17
T. Perry won 31 - 10
C. Cridland won 21 - 12
P. Haines lost 17 - 15

Total 85 - 64

No Game for the GBL today.

Next week the MBA has a rest and the GBL play away to Chepstow.

Yesterday we kicked off our league campaign and centenary season with a great start.

16 MBA Players travelled up the valley to newly promoted Blaina Bowls Club knowing a tough game was ahead.

After 15 ends it was only 5 shots in the game but with experience on our side we managed to dig deep and come away with 12 points out of 14.

E. Harding won 18 - 16
T. Perry won 23 - 9
C. Cridland won 17 - 16
J. Webb lost 18 - 21

Total 76 - 62

12 GBL Players Welcomed Abergavenny Avenue to the Welfare Ground.

Great start to the game from our boys taking a good lead going into the 2nd half, but Abergavenny fought back and just failed to catch our boys but 1 rink managed to pick a 4 up on the last end to win there rink.

We came away with 10points to Abergavenny's 2pts.

G. Parker won 23 - 15
R. Churcher lost 18 - 16

After a few issues with passwords and account locking we finally have our page back up and running.!

Our first ever season in the MBA division 1 got underway last weekend against current champions Cross Keys, The result didn't go our way but we move on and go again this week.

On the other hand our GBL boys came away with a good win against Chepstow taking 10 points out of a possible 12.

This week is our MBA team play at home against Croesyceliog another tough game for the boys but hopefully get a better result than last weekend.

Our GBL boys play away today against another top team Pontymister Athletic where we look to follow up with another victory.

💥💪🏽 RESULT.!! 🔵🔵🔵

The boys did it.!

A great win for Newbridge today taking 11pts out of 14 to make a big gap between 3rd and 2nd position.

We now play Abergavenny away tomorrow and a win down there will almost guarantee us promotion to division 1 something we haven't done as a club in all its history. So tomorrow is massive for us as a club.
