Newark Cycles & Jack – always amazing service!
I’ve been going to Newark Cycles for four or five years now and the service has never been anything less than brilliant, but Jack is on another level entirely.
Picked up a new smart trainer a week ago and spent seven days riding a horribly wobbly, noisy disaster because it came set up for thru-axle and I hadn’t realised my bike needed the quick-release adapter. Took it all in ready to admit defeat.
Jack spotted it instantly, swapped the adapter, levelled everything, calibrated it perfectly and had it running smoother than I thought possible – all in about 5 minutes. Then, because that’s just who he is, he spent the next 20 minutes buzzing with enthusiasm sharing workout ideas and little turbo tips that actually make indoor training fun.
Always amazing service from Jack – every single time I walk through the door. His knowledge is ridiculous and his friendliness and passion for helping people ride better is genuinely infectious.
Newark Cycles, you’re lucky to have him (and the rest of us are lucky he’s there!).
Thanks again Jack – winter miles are going to be a joy now! 🚴‍♂️🔥

Spot the difference, ok, so yes they are different bikes, but just look at the crud! Any amount of gunk on your drivetrain just accelerates wear. If your bike needs a clean or service, get in touch.
