Yesterday’s game was defined by pure defiance. Facing an older, physically imposing opposition, our girls gave a masterclass in what it truly means to play for the badge and for each other. In the face of adversity, they didn't just stand strong and work their socks off—they played some great football.

The match opened with a tactical sharpness that caught the opposition off guard. The girls moved the ball with precision, blending hard work and quality to carve open the defence for two fantastic goals:

⚽️The Opener (Vision & Composure): Sophie sparkled early on, spotting a gap and playing a beautiful, early ball into space. Molly read it perfectly, breaking free of her markers, driving ahead, and dispatching the ball past the keeper with total composure and pinpoint accuracy.

⚽️The Second (Sheer Individual Brilliance): Harley produced a moment of absolute magic. Picking up the ball on the inside-left channel, she drove inward toward the goal. Just as the defence braced, she neatly checked back onto her left foot, unleashing a powerful strike that left the goalkeeper with no chance.

As the match wore on, the physical nature of the game intensified. The girls had to dig incredibly deep, facing a relentless wave of pressure and defensive work for the remainder of the game but we also posed an attacking threat of our own and were unlucky on a few occasions to not score a third.

When the pressure was at its highest, our defensive anchors stood tallest:

Cora was an absolute rock, breaking up plays and refusing to be bullied.
Sophie paired her first-half vision with defensive grit, covering every blade of grass.
Mirren put on a tackling clinic, tracking runners and clearing the danger.
Central midfielders Hannah and Sophia were excellent at both ends of the pitch with both putting in energetic performances.

Player of the Day: The Whole Team
In a game where the whole team gave it absolutely everything they had, it was impossible to pick just one standout. Today’s Player of the Day goes to the entire squad. It was an outstanding collective effort 👏👏💪

A massive well done, girls! This morning proved that we may be younger, and we may be smaller, but nobody can match our grit, our determination, and our heart.

🏆 HISTORIC LEAGUE TITLE WIN! 🏆⚽🔴⚫️

A huge congratulations to our 2012s team who have made history this season by completing an incredible double in the DDYFA U14 top division—being crowned League Champions and League Cup Winners! 👏

To the best of our knowledge, no other team from Scone Thistle playing outside of the Perth leagues has won the top division league title, making this an outstanding accomplishment.

This success is a true reflection of the hard work, commitment, and quality shown throughout the season by everyone involved.

Well done to our players, coaches, and all who have supported the team along the way—this is a fantastic achievement and a proud moment for the whole club.
