We had wonderful morning on our all-weather green today. 40 members had a wonderful time in perfect sunshine.

New Romney bowls club are in a happy place as we can now look forward to a summer bowling green of excellence. Three years ago we had damage caused by foxes and badgers, thankfully the installation of an electric fence stopped that problem. In 2024 nature decided to take us on again in the form of Rabbit infestation. Thankfully the little devils have only damaged our gardens so far but having seen droppings on the green, we knew we were on borrowed time. Despite putting a lot of fencing on the green perimeter, the little devils still got in. In desperation we looked for help from a professional pest controller and at the same time got permission from the owners of the field behind our club to deal with the rabbit Warren that was found there. Unfortunately, the professional who we approached, despite promising the earth to us, disappeared off the face off the earth. I kept leaving messages to no avail and in the end persuaded my wife to call him. He answered her and told her that he wouldn't deal with us because I pressured him. Obviously, when a so called professional doesn't want the work, it is likely he isn't up to the job, despite his proud boasts that he can deal with anything that causes infestation.
Thankfully, today we had a visit from a real professional. He turned up at the promised time and efficiently caught a number of rabbits before back.
I can thoroughly recommend Mark Seymour if you have problems in the Kent area with Rabbits, rats, mice and any other pests that are causing problems. His phone number is 0798911150.

We have had a wonderful morning at our bowls club this morning. We had 30 members bowling on our all weather green. Come and have a go, we bowl all year.
