🥊🌊 29 MILES. ONE DAY. ONE BIG CHALLENGE! 🌊🥊

A huge well done to club coaches Tom and Dave, who took on an incredible 29-mile coastal path challenge in a single day to raise much-needed funds for Newquay Boxing Academy! 🥊💪

From the first step to the very last mile, they showed incredible determination, resilience and commitment, exactly the qualities we try to develop in everyone at the Academy.

Walking 29 miles along the coast in one day is no easy task, but they pushed through the tired legs, sore feet and long hours to complete the challenge and help support the future of our boxing club. 👊

Their efforts will help us continue to provide opportunities for our young people, support our boxers and keep building a strong community around Newquay Boxing Academy.

🥊 That’s a wrap for the season! 🥊

As we finish our final session before the summer break, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has made this season such a success.

Firstly, a massive thank you to our incredible team of volunteer coaches. You give up countless hours of your own time to support, encourage and develop our members. Your passion, patience and commitment are the heart of Newquay Boxing Academy, and we simply couldn’t do what we do without you.

To our amazing boxers, thank you for your hard work, dedication and determination throughout the season. You’ve trained hard, represented the club with pride, and supported one another every step of the way.

A big thank you also goes to our parents, families, officials and supporters. Your encouragement and commitment help make Newquay Boxing Academy the fantastic club it is.

Although training has now finished for the summer, a reminder that our Medical Clinic will still be taking place at the gym on Saturday 1st August from 9:00am for all boxers who are booked in or require their annual medical.

📅 We’ll be back on Tuesday 25th August, refreshed, motivated and ready for another exciting season of boxing.

🥊 Newquay Boxing Academy Coastal Challenge – Please Support Us! 🥊

On 22nd August, the coaches and boxers from Newquay Boxing Academy will be taking on an incredible 28-mile coastal walk from Godrevy Beach to Newquay to raise funds for our club.

Our coaches are all volunteers, giving up their own time to provide sessions for people of all ages and abilities. From developing competitive boxers and supporting recreational members to working with veterans and delivering our Parky Blinders boxing sessions for people living with Parkinson's, we're proud to use boxing to make a positive difference in our community.

Every penny raised will help us continue providing opportunities, equipment and support for the people who rely on our club.

📢 Newquay Boxing Academy – Weekend Closure

After carefully considering the current weather conditions, the coaching team at Newquay Boxing Academy has made the decision to close the club for the weekend.

The safety and wellbeing of our members, coaches and volunteers is always our priority, and with the extreme heat, we feel this is the most responsible decision.

We appreciate this may be disappointing, but we hope everyone stays safe, keeps cool, and takes the opportunity to rest and recover. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the gym as soon as conditions allow.

The coaching team will be meeting tomorrow to discuss our up and coming season.

Following careful consideration, the club has made the decision to close today due to the extremely hot weather and the lack of air conditioning in the gym. The health and wellbeing of our members and coaches must always come first.

A great turnout for a Saturday morning, with excellent attendance across both the Junior Academy and our carded boxers.

🥊🇬🇧 Farewell and Good Luck, Rivers Dunn 🇬🇧🥊

Today we say farewell to one of our own, Rivers Dunn, as he embarks on an incredible new chapter, beginning his training journey with the Royal Marines Commandos.

Rivers holds a special place in the history of Newquay Boxing Academy, being one of the very first boxers from our club to compete in the Junior Championships. Since those early days, he has grown not only as a boxer but as a young man of outstanding character, dedication, and determination.

Over the years, Rivers has progressed from a boy boxer to a qualified coach, spending the last few months helping to develop and inspire the next generation of our junior boxers. His commitment, leadership, and positive attitude have made a lasting impact on everyone at the club.

A Note from our El Presidente

"We are sad but proud to wave our very own Rivers off to join the Royal Marines Commandos at Lympstone tomorrow. He has been with the club as a boy boxer through to qualifying as a coach, involved for the last few months bringing on our junior boxers. Rivers is a credit to his family and the club, demonstrating an excellent character and attitude at all times and in all things. We will miss him greatly but wish this outstanding young man the very best. From us all at Newquay Boxing Academy, we will be with you all the way."

Rivers, thank you for everything you have given to the club. We are immensely proud of your achievements and have no doubt you will attack this next challenge with the same courage, discipline, and determination you have always shown in the boxing ring.
